Cosy place with vegan wraps, and sometimes sandwiches. Has vegan banana bread, and muffins plus house-made bread for toasts. Soy, macadamia and oat milks available for coffee. Interesting art on the walls and live music events sometimes. Under new ownership, Mar 2021. Reported closed October 2024.

Better options - Edit
So first impressions of this place is they need a lot of work. The gingerbread latte tasted like if I heard someone screaming gingerbread in the next room while drinking it.
Read moreThe bagels are extremely dry and bitter.
They only had one vegan pastry option and it looked absolutely awful.
Also the lattes are extremely pricy here especially for the size you receive.
It’s also really immoral in my opinion to charge an extra dollar for oat milk. Especially when the drinks are already extremely marked up.
( won’t be back )
Pros: Two vegan milk options
Cons: Expensive , Dollar up charge for oat milk , Dry food

Meh - Edit
Love the location and adorable set up downtown. Chose this place because of the historic building. I stopped by on my way through town for lunch with a friend who lives in Greensboro. There were no vegan options available that day besides hummus. We went to their restaurant about 10 minutes away and there were no vegan sandwiches or wraps available there either. The only vegan options on the menu were avocado toast and oatmeal. We got avocado toast. It was alright, lots of avocado, but not very filling and kinda boring. For the price, I was hoping for a full lunch and ended up with a slice of toast and a brownie. No plans to return.

Cozy cafe with vegan milks/options - Edit
The reviews below are dated (to be expected as they're 6-7 years old). Green Bean is now only a coffeehouse, they don't serve alcoholic drinks and they close at 6 pm. Also, they don't serve any pastries any more. The food they have is packaged sandwiches, brownies, etc in a little fridge. They do have some vegan wraps and brownies!
Read moreIt's a super cool cafe with tons of work and hang out space. They've got great coffee and soy, almond, or oat milk. Oat milk is $1 upcharge unfortunately, the others are 60 cents. They make some great espresso drinks and I love coming here to hang or do some work!
Pros: Plant milks, Some vegan packaged food
Cons: $1 upcharge for oat milk!

Fair Trade and Live Music - Edit
This place has soy options and usually a few vegan goodies. Also, the coffee is fair trade and they have live music on Saturday nights. Fun, hip, downtown place to go.

My favorite coffee shop in Greensboro - Edit
This cafe has a great vibe- the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the vegan diet. There's always a few types of vegan sweets (cookies, carrot cake, etc..) that taste pretty awesome. I'm a fan of the peanut butter oatmeal cookie. The baristas make designs on your latte and always offer good suggestions if you can't make up your mind. They have vegan cream cheese for your bagel too. What I really enjoy about this place is that there's a bunch of options on the menu that are vegan, the cafe is clean and is usually playing great music, and there's a bunch of seating so it never feels too crowded.
