organic fruit heaven - Edit

This place is right next to Avalon bakery & cafe. I stopped by in the summer & they had an amazing selection of organic fruits. It's a compact space, basically one big aisle with a counter area, but they pack a lot into it. Great variety, easy street parking & outdoor tables.

Friendly service, great food! - Edit

I love this place! It's a small grocery store that also sells prepared foods. They have a great pita pocket sandwich (make sure to ask for vegan!) which is amazing with avocado. They also have some really delicious soups! They offer a bunch of specialty vegan items such as nutritional yeast, tofu, Tofurkey, Field Roast, etc. In addition, they have fresh fruit and vegetables. My only complaint is sometimes they run out of some of their prepared food, which is disappointing. Despite this though, I highly recommend this place! I'm so happy there's a vegetarian market that offers reasonably priced, healthy food!

fantastic for grab and go - Edit

Vegan pocket sandwiches are so satisfying - order with avocado! They also have soup, samosa, vegan pizza in rotation, plus a refrigerator of self serve vegan meals like grape leaves and hummous, lasagna, kale salad and lots of vegan cake, candies and sweets. I will get some mock salmon spread and a baguette from Avalon next door and will have lunch for a couple days. There is also a grocery store with specialty products, vegan staples and other health food items, vitamins, teas, cleaning products. I am so grateful for this store.

If you are in Detroit, go here! - Edit

They have recently expanded and now carry more items than before. The deli is excellent and they offer vegan soups and an really delicious vegan pita.
They also have a decent variety of beverages in the cooler.
If you need groceries or snacks this is the place to go. From produce to tofu to staple food items, they will have what you need.

There is also seating outside and a bike rack.

Pros: variety, vegan, healthy

Cons: not much seating
