Tiny health food shop mostly devoted to supplements. It has a small stock of long-life food including tinned tofu, egg-free mayonnaise, plant milks and some hard-to-find items like chia seed and xylitol. Also stocks toiletries and some cleaning products. Relocated 2016 from Workington. Open Mon-Wed 9:30am-4:00pm, Thu 9:30am-2:00pm, Fri-Sat 9:30am-4:00pm.

Packed to the rafters - Edit
Golden Harvest makes excellent use of a small space! As you can see from the photo, the shelves go about eight feet up and are very tightly packed, offering a lot of produce in a tiny shop. A lot of what's on offer is supplements but there are also whole grains; a wide range of plant milks; various vegan condiments like yeast extract; and some confectionery (presumably this is the reason for the sign on the door saying "only two schoolchildren at a time"!). The staff members always seem pleased to see you and genuinely enthusiastic about the products they sell. You can't do your whole weekly shop here but you always have a pleasant experience.
Pros: Wide selection for a small shop, nice staff
Cons: Little room to move, no fresh or chilled produce
