Love the concept, let down by the menu - Edit
I wanted to love this place, as it's fully vegan and a small business but, the menu left me hungry. As a gluten-free vegan (due to a health issue), menus can be tricky. This virtual-only menu (which makes ordering more difficult but, I understand the cost of printed menus has been greatly effected by inflation) doesn't include ingredients and doesn't offer ANY gluten-free meals. I was left choosing between juice, customizing a pricey bowl of lettuce and quinoa or going hungry. I chose the latter while my husband and kids ate.
Read moreThe sounds coming from their full mouths indicated that they were all well-pleased with the taste and quantity of their meals.
Owner made an appearance to check on us and answer questions. Sauces are all homemade which was a HUGE deal for us and you can grasp his passion and genuine interest in providing great vegan food and excellent service.
This place is a true gem in the area and I look forward to returning if I get cleared to eat gluten again!

Sad to Hear of Closure - Edit
This is easily my favorite Vegan restaurant in Delaware. The food was so fantastic every time we had the opportunity to visit town. And the owner (and chef) treated everyone so well. I was surprised to find out the place is closed now, but I hope it's a temporary thing. I will definitely frequent it again if the owner reopens!

Worth your time - Edit
1st time here. I found street parking (free) easily. Indoor seating available. Nice space. Friendly service. I started with their Philadelphia International crispy cauliflower bites - and yes they are crispy. I had mine with the mango habanero sauce and it was delicious. I also had onion rings. They were good - basic - nothing special - but good all the same. I moved onto their Teddy P which is a plate of fried oyster mushrooms that were crispy and wonderful. I would like to have had a dipping sauce with it. Cornbread was tasty. Mac and cheese was one of the best I’ve had. The asparagus was also very good. They have a small fridge with juice and dessert. When I was there, they had 1 option for dessert (I didn’t get it). I enjoyed my meal and am looking forward to coming back.

Filling and flavorful! - Edit
This place is 🔥! Vegan soul food at its finest. Delighted to see the portions were huge and filling. Flavors are top notch. We went here for lunch and were barely hungry for dinner. I don't know how they make their cornbread and fries but both are heavenly. The staff is also super friendly. Will definitely be back next time we are in Wilmington.

Favorite Vegan Place in Wilmington - Edit
I love this place, and whenever I take people here, they love it too. Sean and his family are super friendly and welcoming. The Phillis Wyman is fantastic. Don’t overlook the sides. The cabbage is delicious. The asparagus is consistently a winner. Cornbread too. Be prepared for really big portions.

GO VEGAN!! - Edit
My husband and I are so delighted we found Go Vegan Philly. From the warm greeting we received at the door to our farewell hugs, our dining experience exceeded our expectations in every way. The owner and chef, Sean, along with his staff, April and Keisha were lovely and made us feel like family. The food was delicious. Having been a vegetarian for-almost-ever, I’d never had a cheesesteak. Chef Sean’s Jilly from Philly version was a perfect blend of oyster mushrooms and Impossible ground beef with veggies on a soft roll with just enough crisp edges. So stinking good!! And the Eve crispy oyster mushroom sandwich was just as delicious. The homemade lemonade, fries and onion rings were wonderful accompaniments. I can’t recommend Go Vegan Philly enough. GO SEAN!! GO VEGAN!!

The dish I got was a little oily but it was really good! They had so many options. There are not many good souls food options that are vegan and they definitely found a great way to provide the variety and the taste! Sides are really good too!

Pricy but worth it - Edit
I had the Philly from Jilly (1/2 mushroom and 1/2 impossible) and the Go Vegan Mac. The Philly had a nice kick with lots of fillings and the mac and cheese was probably the best I've ever had - both 10/10.

MOST EXCELLENT VEGAN FOOD IN TRI-STATE AREA - Edit
Go Vegan Philly has the best vegan food anywhere in the DE, PA, NJ, area... hands down it is the absolute most delicious meal you'll ever enjoy. Great atmosphere: warm and welcoming, excellent food, every bite was mouthwatering. I'm a life long vegan, and very particular about what I eat: Go Vegan Philly will now be my go-to for a yummy meal. Give it a try, you WILL NOT be sorry!

Amazing Food - Edit
I had their Jilly From Philly which was a Jerk Cheezesteak and I replaced the Fries with Greens. I honestly feel that was one of the best Cheesesteaks I've ever had, Beef or otherwise. The greens were just as delicious. And to top it all off the Owner/Chef came out to the dining room several times to check on the diners and their meals. He took time to talk to my about my new journey into this lifestyle and even gave me a few pointers to help me stay on track. Fantastic place that I will return to many times in the future. A

Stopped by Go Vegan Philly as I’m in town for an appointment and I’m so glad I did! I had the kale salad and mozzarella sticks. Both were delicious! The atmosphere is really welcoming, the owner came out to greet me and check in about the food. I love the art and themes of Black excellence throughout! Go Vegan Philly for the win!

Best vegan sandwiches I’ve had! - Edit
I ordered the broad street bully (the cheesesteak) and the Eve (crispy chicken sandwich). They were both amazing! I was craving a Philly cheese steak as a vegan, and they killed it! Best one I’ve had so far! The Eve was also very yummy. I loved the sauce they used for both. Made just right!

10/2019: Ordered the coconut chick peas with rice and cabbage, which was delicious. Service was friendly.
Read more12/2021: Sad that they moved out of Conshohocken. Was finally able to stop at their new location. Sad that they no longer have the same menu items so picked some new items to try. The "fish" cakes and greens were delicious but didn't love the mini "crab cakes", just a little too greasy for me. But would recommend a visit.

Without a doubt, the best vegan crab cake of all time. ALL TIME. The collards? Sublime. And that crispy crust on the fried mushrooms - YES!

WONDERFUL stop on our drive south! - Edit
My friend and I were passing through on our way to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I was excited to see that Go Vegan Philly was an easy stop off of the highway.
Read moreWe were greeted with a smile when we came in. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. My friend and I both ordered the Philly Cheesesteak with Mushrooms, and it was DELICIOUS. I had to slow myself down from eating it too fast. We also ordered Onion Rings as an appetizer, and we loved them. The sauce that they came with was particularly delicious.
The chef and owner (Charmayne) and the other owner (Shawn) each individually stopped by to say hello and ask us how our meal was. They were so friendly and nice. I wish I lived closer so I could stop by more often!!
The prices were a bit high, but I think that they were fair given how delicious the food was. I will absolutely be stopping by anytime my travels take me through Wilmington!! :)
Pros: DELICIOUS food, Friendly, welcoming staff and owners, Interesting space with lots to look at

Almost great - Edit
They have VERY generous portions... I would argue too generous. Everything we've had here has been delicious, and the service is pretty quick. My one qualm is that their food tastes like an unhealthy guilty pleasure, and the gigantic portions don't help. I feel like I need to go on a 10 mile run after I eat at this restaurant.

We ordered takeout during covid. The Teddy P oyster mushroom fried chicken had the flavor of authentic fried chicken, the mac&cheese was classic comfort food and the collard greens had a deliciously pickled kick. Heated it up at home and this wonder Soul food made me smile.

We were really happy to see another vegan restaurant take over the old V-Trap location. I had the Broad Street Bully (V-Cheezesteak) with oyster mushrooms and it was great. Wife had the impossible burger and was hummin. The fries were even still hot by the time I got home. Will definitely be back.
