We visit Grand Rapids twice a year from Oregon and Go Vegan GR is among the top reasons (don’t tell our daughter). The Libra is simply phenomenal and my wife loves the Pisces. Tried the shrimp this visit and was astounded by how good they were. Don’t skip this spot when in GR.

I seriously wish we had this restaurant where I live because the food here is so DELICIOUS! The vegan chicken was super flavorful, tender and juicy! The ranch dressing was perfection! I had to ask several times to make sure it was all vegan. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful! 10/10!!

We ordered takeout and it hit the spot, very tasty! I got the philly cheese steak sandwich and onion rings, partner got a burger and sweet potato waffle fries. Comfort food goodness! Definitely worth a visit.

Best 100% Vegan Restaurant in Downtown Grand Rapids - Edit
It's wonderful to have a vegan labeled restaurant in Michigan so that it's obvious to everybody and this is a great little location right just south of the downtown parking immediately across the street and within the same building there's the amazing loves ice cream that has a dozen or more different kinds of vegan ice cream so it's an amazing location great place to stop they have seating only for about 10 on the inside but there's additional seating on the outside Cy and his family do a great job running the restaurant

Read moreWe got the Zodie-Em-Up-Fries, which were GREAT (friendly cashier gave us a recommendation for what toppings to pick and it was spot-on, I think: Beef, Jalapenos, Peppers, Spicy-Ranch) - absolutely worth it.
We also got 2 burgers, the Capricorn (Crispy Chicken Sandwich) and Virgo (BBQ-Burger on pretzel bun) - both were delicious. I (omnivore) thought the 'bacon' tasted a bit more like ham, but we were still very happy with it.

I was in town for a two day class, and had planned to try a few things on the menu. I had the Libra philly cheese steak sandwich the first day, and liked it so much I got it the next day, also! The jackfruit and mushroom mix is minced very finely, and seasoned very well! The serving size for the sweet potato fries could have been a touch more, but overall this is an excellent vegan junk food spot!

I was in Michigan on business and was very happy to see this restaurant in the city I was staying in. I ordered the fish filet sandwich with sweet potato fries and my food was great! If I’m ever in Grand Rapids again, I will definitely stop at Go Vegan GR.

I got the Leo King of the Sea fried "shrimp" sandwich and OH MAH GODDESS --- so freaking good. The seasoning, the texture, the presentation- just perfect. I also got a side salad and it was super fresh, even had amazing feta cheez and their Ranch dressing is way better than any dairy based version I've ever had (more flavorful and creamy). The watermelon lemonade was also fresh and super yummy. I can't believe I haven't been here before. This is my new go-to whenever I'm in GR. The zodiac theme is also super fun. And they have a kids menu.

The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming! Best vegan food we have had by far! Will be coming here every time we are in Grand Rapids. Had the Leo and Sagittarius with a side of Zodie em up fries and the flavors were beyond amazing! Took a two hour trip to try this restaurant and it was well worth it! Food was fresh and delicious.

While visiting family in Grand Rapids, we went to Go Vegan GR. My wife and I each got the Libra, which is a Philly Cheesesteak made with jackfruit. We also shared an order of sweet potato fries. Both the sandwich and fries were delicious! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Go Vegan GR to all.
