A Great Spot for a Slice

Vegan options are pretty limited but, having any at all is an incredible treat so we were thrilled to find this charming little stop during our trip. Between The delicious options and the friendly service, the kids were disappointed that we weren't returning the second day but, I like to venture to new places. The waitress couldn't have been kinder and the food was exceptionally quick to come out. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Definitely worth the stop!

Pros: Delicious, Incredibly friendly staff, Quick!

Cons: Not many vegan options, No vegan dessert options yet

Good pizza!

I was pleasantly surprised by this old school pizzeria. They may be new to offering vegan but they've clearly been making pizza for a long time and it shows in their crust and tomato. I ordered the veggie supreme with vegan mozz and the veggies were plentiful and so was the vegan cheese.

Pros: Great sauce and crust, Reasonably priced, Parking lot in back

Nothing special

Gino’s was a little disappointing and just seemed to lack effort. The cheese pizza we ordered was alright, but the cheese was very scant and way too saucy. The baked ziti was just saucy noodles with some cheese sprinkled on top and tasted like something we could have easily made at home. We ordered the broccoli rabe, and the woody garlic butts were left in, so we had to constantly fish them out of our mouths. For the price, I wish they had taken more time to make these items a little better.

The most disturbing part was that my girlfriend and I were catcalled four (FOUR!) separate times on the block-long walk to and from the restaurant by men riding their bikes and shouting from their porches. It was absolutely disgusting. The food was definitely not worth the harassment.

Pros: Plenty of vegan options

Cons: Low quality for the price , Street harassment , Sloppy preparation

Refreshing vegan experience

We ate here in December of 2019. I'm the only vegan in the group, but I was so pleased to see vegan mozzarella on the menu. I did my usual careful ordering, double-checking with the server to make sure the crust and sauce were also vegan. I was expecting the typical Daiya cheese, but this establishment uses Violife, and it was delicious. The owner came over to talk to me. His wife is dairy free and they've made a point of searching for the best mozzarella. He told me she experiments with vegan desserts and is looking to add some to the offerings. Toward the end of the meal, the owner came back over to our table with a carryout tub full of shredded cheese for me to take home, and he told me the best way to make a grilled cheese sandwich with it. The awareness about vegan options at this pizzeria is awesome.

Pros: Friendly, vegan-knowledgeable staff., Delicious food.

Cons: Serves veal.
