Missed the mark

I was super duper excited to try this place. The menu looked fabulous and is packed with vegan options. The ambiance is 10/10. I love the color scheme and decor. Unfortunately, the food was just very mid to me. In terms of heat and flavor, it was very toned down. We got the bao, peanut noodles, eggplant, cauliflower, and Mapo tofu. Nothing was spicy (I really should not be surprised by this here anymore). Everything was very sweet too. I really missed that more savory element. Super disappointed and can't say I will be back.
