Great food, weird service - Edit
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the food here but the service was weird. It was a family business where their young child was cashiering and there was a toddler standing around staring at us!??? If I go again I would get it to-go because of the dining experience. If you love having children around you then you might not mind it.

It is really nice to have an option like this in Fremont -- especially after a long run or bike ride. The decor and ambience had the feel of a new place that hadn't found its footing and the service was just a bit slow for not being busy, yet so that is the only reason this place is getting a four star review and not five. I hope I can change this review to a five star soon because the food was quality. It tasted like a good junk food vegan place with care put into all the food. I was assured that the soy protein pulled pork would be better than jackfruit (five times better, to be exact). That assumption was accurate. I have several more things to try!

I stopped in for lunch following a trip to Theo’s Chocolate Factory. I ordered the Pulled Pork sandwich (no slaw) with fries. The pulled pork was very flavorful, made hot to order, and juicy. My meat-eating hubby said it was close to the real thing! The bread used was soft and yummy. The fries are the real deal.

I was wonderfully surprised by finding Galaxy Rune! The father/daughter duo that ran the place we're both kind, helpful, and hard working. I ordered French fries, but alas, they were out! Not only did the owner give me delicious chili with cheese, he also gave me a rootbeer float in a frosted mug. As soon as I had my burger, I devoured it! It was unique and delicious. The perfect place to stop in and grab a bite. Seems family-friendly, but the bathrooms are upstairs and you need a code to them. I did not check to see if there was a nappie changing table. I will definitely be back with my family!

My wife and I were going out to dinner, and looking for a new vegan option (can't ALWAYS go to Arayas). We came across Galaxy Rune on Happy Cow, and a nice, tasty burger and fries suddenly sounded like just what we needed.
Read moreIt turns out, Galaxy Rune just opened a week or so ago. They were still painting the sign on the door. It has a nice, low-key, family atmosphere. We ordered the basic Rune Burger with fries, took it to go, and ate at Gasworks park. The burger was really good! It had a nice, classic burger taste, kind of fast foody, and I mean that in the best possible way. And my wife, who says she's picky about vegan burgers, was won over as well. I recommend it!

Rune Burger and fries at Galaxy Rune - Edit
Galaxy Rune in the Fremont area of Seattle has just opened and I really like it so far. They are starting with a limited menu for now, but the food was really good, the restaurant is spacious, very clean, and has wonderful staff. One side note, the restaurant is a bit hard to see from the road if you've never been there before, but it is on Fremont Avenue, and very easy to spot if you are on foot. I'm looking forward to seeing them expand their menu soon.
