Gutted we couldn’t come back for more. The prices of these pies means you could eat them for lunch and dinner every day and still be happy.
Read moreDelicious, hearty, and incredibly filling. We had the pies for lunch accompanied by mash, peas, and gravy. They also sell pasties and some frozen versions of their produce to take away.

Absolutely amazing vegan pies, I love how they serve up a big side of mash, peas and gravy. Very fresh! Sometimes I’ve gone in the afternoon to find my favourite pie has ran out but the others never disappoint! A weekly treat for me. Thanks guys 👍🏼

These guys have nailed vegan pies! In sydney a week and I had 3 of theirs! Unfortunately didn't get to try the buttered chicken which sounded amazing but out of the bolognese, chilli non carne and funky chunky, i loved the classic funky chunky! Reminds me of steak and mushroom pie when I was a kid! Maybe they could attempt a scottish classic next- macaroni and cheese pie!

I wasn’t in Bondi long but I made sure I went to Funky Pies three times because it was just so good. The pies are unbelievably delicious, the desserts are really tasty (and there’s a good variety) and the smoothies are also divine. CANNOT BE BEATEN

We had pies mash and peas. Very fast food and the mash and gravy were amazing - the pies were also tasty!! Giving it a 4 because we weren't sure why our two meals came to 15 dollars each when on the menu it said 12 and the potion sizes could have been bigger but still good value and really enjoyable!

I chose the pie to be served with mash, gravy and peas. I ordered the eezy chic’n cheezy and a coffee milkshake. It’s been a long time since I ate mash with gravy and it was worth it! The milkshake was nice too. Nothing fancy but tasty. Not far to walk to Bondi beach and a bus ride from Bondi junction

the pies and milkshakes are very delicious, i tried the vanilla cupcake which was nice as well, with a lemon curd inside. a small place, nice staff. there is a lot of options and there are a couple fridges with vegan food you can buy. recommended.

I love the vegan pies here. They are delicious with fantastic pastry. There's a great variety of pies available buy this can depend on the time of day: come late and they'll be less. Have your pie on its own or with mash and gravy or salad. Also a great range of drinks (including non-dairy milkshakes) and treats like caramel slice. The cafe also sells vegan food products to take home, like frozen schnitzels or cheesy sauce. Seating is limited and service is ok if not overly friendly ... come for the delicious pies!

Tried the thai coconut curry pie and acai smoothie and was blown away by the flavour of the pie and the flaky pie crust. Hard to believe it was vegan! Very affordable place to eat and quite close to bondi beach which means it is a must for any Bondi beach goers.

Funky pies is amazing. I’ve been a few times and tried three different pies and they’ve all been awesome and super flavoursome. You can also get mash & gravy with your pie and they have some really nice smoothies.

Only negative is if you go in the evening past like 6 they don’t have as many pie choices left.

Best food I've had in Australia so far!! Service is really fast and the salad is quite good, it's not just typical garden salad but had quinoa, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds and sweet potato. Their was super flavourful. Would highly recommend!

This place serves a variety of vegan pies, I have had them before as they also are stocked at vegan places in Australia, lots of good flavours to choose from including curry pies and also pastizzi. Fantastic pastry. Can be served with gravy, mash and peas. To be honest this wasn’t a great side compared to the exceptional pies but it was nice to have and I think a lot of people would find it comforting. Also a selection of vegan desserts raw and cooked. I tried (non-raw) caramel slice and it was excellent. Staff good. Not many seats.

I've been going for years and it's never disappointed. Excellent variety of pies each with very distinct flavours and textures. Highly recommended. The price for a pie with mashed potato and gravy is pretty reasonable, and they're pretty substantial too.
