Fu Wing - Wan Chai

asked one of the staff what juice he would recommend if i felt the flu bug kicking in and he suggested apple+kiwi (amazing how fruit stall owners know exactly what you need...) . tasted delicious. can't remember the exact price, but it should have been less than hkd20.

unfortunately, i passed by the store another evening and saw a staff member smoking outside, but still well within the fruit display area, adding to the smoke from passing traffic.

for those who cook, there's an organic veggie/fruit store across the road (which sells eggs though).

Firstly credit has to be given to the naming of this establishment. 'Does exactly what it says on the tin' as the cliché goes.

I had a fresh mango and dragon fruit. 18 bucks HK. Very nice to. No issues ordering, the chap served me spoke perfectly reasonable English. He and his colleague were both pleasant.

This stand is open daily from 7h30 am up to 9 pm. The staff doesn´t speak English but their daughter (who is often there) does and they are nice.
The place is not so easy to spot but if you look for Wan Chai market (in Zenith Tower), it is just opposite one of its entrances (check the photo here).
It is a stand selling fruits and they make also inexpensive (10-12, some at 15 HKD) fresh fruit juices to take away (one size - medium size cup) without any additives (no sugar...), made in a centrifugal juicer. There is on offer: watermelon, carrot, mango-pear, pear, grape, apple, dragon fruit, guava, star fruit, wax apple, papaya-pear, lemon-orange, orange, grapefruit, kiwi-apple, blueberry-apple, bitter melon, pineapple-orange, vegetable and celery juice.
