Amazing

10/10 - the food, service and atmosphere are all wonderful. Our server, Irma, was friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. The fried mozzarella appetizer was my favorite. Wish I could give it 5 stars!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Nice outside courtyard

Best meal I’ve ever had

The best restaurant meal I’ve ever had—vegan or not! Each time I go, the food is rich and complex in flavor. There’s lots of meal options and all in big portions. The experience proved how delicious veg food can to my doubtful meal-eater friends! Wait staff is friendly, atmosphere is hip, and prices are high but on par with the quality/quantity.

Vegan brunch options!

We had brunch here and there were plenty of options. Tofu scramble, mushroom bacon, vegan hollandaise, and even vegan scrapple! Everything was delicious.

Pros: nice outdoor seating area, good service, vegan options

FSC is one of the most under rated vegan restaurants in the city.

I eat at FSC often. My daughter goes there often with her friends.
The Tofu Benedict is delicious. I personally like the tofu scramble breakfast sandwich. They have a wonderful mushroom bacon. Right now they have peach topped vegan pancakes and today they had a pull apart cinnamon loaf with vanilla cream.
The FSC vegan burger is one of the best homemade burgers I have ever had. My daughter loves the Mac-cheese. The buffalo cauliflower is the best I have ever had. They also have several flavors of Dottie's Donuts during breakfast.
The atmosphere is cozy and spacious. Outside eating is during the nice weather is a nice treat. Frequently FSC holds live entertainment in the upstairs room. I have been to one of the shows and my daughter was just at one of these shows a few weeks ago. It is convent to have a good meal and go up to a show.
In the front of the restaurant is a coffee bar and they have a full bar in the dining area. I have never had a bad meal here.
On a side note not food related, but may be important is that FSC has a well maintained bathroom.

Pros: Great variety of vegan food, Nice atmosphere , Decent prices for lunch and dinner

Cons: Parking is close, but $20 in the evening, Street parking is hard to find at peak times, Some of the tables are a little too close together

FAVORITE. PLACE. EVER.

If it were completely vegan, this would get 50000/5 stars. But, sadly, I can only give it 4.

I have lived in the Philly area for my entire life and I have tried nearly all of the vegan-specific places in the NJ/Philly area. Although I am all for supporting vegan businesses—and I prefer to do this—Front Street Cafe is always my undoing. They have an amazing staff, their location is large and roomy, and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of delicious options for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and dessert.

Some of my favorites that I highly recommend are:
-tofu benedict, mushroom bacon, or acai bowl for breakfast. (They used to have green pancakes that were out of this world but they are sadly off of the menu)
-VEGAN French onion soup (please get this), buffalo cauliflower (an FSC classic—the best I have ever had), and the kale caesar salad with grilled tofu (best salad you will ever eat. Vegans, fall into the stereotype one time and try a this salad!) for lunch.
-Mac and Cheese for dinner. Other things are great, too, but I love their Mac.
-VEGAN TRUFFLES. VEGAN CHEESECAKE. VEGAN MOUSSE. VEGAN BROWNIE. great vegan desserts, basically.

Pros: DELICIOUS, amazing ambiance, roomy

Cons: a little pricey

Great food, atmosphere, and service

I loved all 3 items I got: loaded fries, mozzarella sticks (best vegan ones I’ve had!), and a green smoothie. My waitress was super friendly and timely. As a bonus they played some of my favorite bands (the Cure, New Order, etc).

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious homemade cheeses, Quaint atmosphere

Cons: Street parking

Delicious breakfast

The tofu scramble with side of potatoes was very, very good. The decaf Americano with soy milk was less good (their soy milk separates 😢). Lovely decor, nice employees.

So many options

I've been here a handful of times and most visits are great. They're typically very busy on the weekends, but the service is usually pretty fast and friendly. The menu is cool because it is pretty much all plant based with the non vegan options being the ones marked specially. For dinner I've had the spaghetti squash and "meatballs". I thought it was good, just wish the portion was a little bigger but it's understandable. The vegan mozzarella bites are amazing but again it's a small portion. The buffalo cauliflower was also great and that's a plate where you get a large portion! The "eggs Benedict is amazing! I was apprehensive about the mushroom bacon, but it's a game changer. I'd recommend going on their off times just because it does get so busy and the tables are really close to each other . Definitely worth the visit though!

Pros: lots of options , cool decor, delicious

Cons: cramped seating at times

Extensive menu, expansive space!

I LOVE that this restaurant marks the non-vegan options on its menu! It's common to go into a restaurant and find the veg*n options marked but it's so rare to find an establishment that takes the opposite approach. (And they use the appropriate animal symbols to indicate which items have animal products!) Once you get past the novelty of the menu, you'll find that it's chock full of delicious options to please everyone in your group. The staff is friendly, the bar is fully stocked, and the food is tasty. Go solo and eat/drink at the bar, dine with your significant other in a cozy nook, or take your friends out for brunch. The space is huge (with an equally impressive outdoor patio!) and it's built to accommodate everyone. It can get quite loud, though, so don't plan on an intimate meal during peak dining hours.

Pros: Options!

Cons: Can get cafeteria-level noisy during peak hours

Plenty of vegan options

We had brunch here and almost everything on that particular menu is vegan friendly. I had the vegan Benedict and really liked it. One in our group (a vegan) got the Big Vegan Breakfast and found the tofu scramble bland but edible. Another in our group (a meat eater) ordered the Vegan Tacos and found the entire thing especially the tofu scramble bland enough that he didn't want to eat it. I'd still go here again. The brunch cocktails were delicious, our server was very attentive, and the restaurant itself is gorgeous inside and outside and has a really nice ambiance. They also have vegan donuts and cupcakes.

Pros: Very vegan friendly, Service excellent, Beautiful restaurant

Cons: Tofu scramble needs more flavor

Delicious Brunch!

There are not a lot of places to get an outstanding vegan brunch, so I was happy to find this place. Both times I've been here, I've been really happy with the food. The mushroom gravy biscuits are outstanding. Get them, you won't be disappointed! Really enjoyed the front street benedict as well. The side potato is really tasty too. It's nice and crispy on the outside with a vegan aioli and I'm guessing maybe a tomato jam. Everything has a lot of flavor and tastes very fresh. Great selection of vegan pastries. I love the atmosphere and the wait staff is great. My only complaints are the wait and how they make tea. Ordered a tea to go that was completely undrinkable. It had to be seriously diluted to be drinkable. That's some crazy overleafing. Overall, great vegan selection. I can't wait to visit for dinner and some drinks.

Pros: Best Brunch, High Quality , Very Tasty

Cons: Wait, Very hipstery
