I ordered take out for lunch and it was great. The portion of fries was well worth the money. The middle sized portion was more than enough for two people so we would probably take a small pack next time. I had the vegan 'bieterballen' which are made from beetroots and the vegan 'stoofsaus'. I really missed having 'stoofsaus' so I was really happy they had a vegan version. They also have a vegan mayonaise.

Unexpectedly stumbled across this place. Frites are vegan and there are also several vegan snacks and sauces on the menu. The server was friendly and recommended I try the vegan vol au vent kroket and it was great! Recommend trying this, and adding the free spice seasoning to your chips. The veganaise and curry ketchup were also really good. Portions are very generous as other reviews state😂

The portions are big here and having read other reviews I opted for a small portion of the fries. There’s a vegetable patty and a beetroot one available that are vegan. The burger was delicious and light which balanced with the fries perfectly. The setting both indoors and out are really nice and I’d recommend.

Mir wurde vom Personal das Tartaar wärmstens empfohlen und ich geb die Empfehlung gern weiter, die war mega!
Sehr netter Service, superschnelle Bedienung (ich glaube wir haben nur etwa fünf Minuten gewartet, was gerade mit Kindern Gold wert ist!).

Everything we tried was tasty and the service was good. Just one advice: the portions are huge! I had the smallest serving of fries and this was way too much. Next time, we will share the smallest portion of fries.

I’ve been to frituur tartaar three times now, and each time has been amazing, a small portion of frites is enough to share (in my mind) between 2-3 people, depending on how hungry you are, so it is a bit more affordable.

Very few options, almost never broccoli... - Edit
Frituur Tartaar makes delicious food, but there are very little vegetarian or vegan options. Their best veggie food is by far the broccoli beignets, but they’re almost always “out of it”. They’re never out of it, they’re simply too lazy to make them. It has happened a few times to me that I was there with meat/cheese eating friends and the only option for me besides fries would’ve been the broccoli. Every time they said that “they were out”, but if you ask very nicely or just say “well then I don’t have anything to eat here”, they suddenly say, it’s possible to have the beignets... just takes a bit longer.

The few vegan things they had were ok (fries, veg burger, falafel) and the price is quite average. However, things that are dipped in dough are not vegan since it requires eggs, e.g. broccoli beignets or other vegetables.

The queue can sometimes be lengthy, in which they take your order and ask you to pay, and then you have to wait a long time to get your food.
Read moreOn other days, service is very swift. So I guess it depends on what times you go.
The fries are good, the homemade tartar sauce is nice. The vegan "stoverij"-sauce is dominated by the celery. Which ... makes it unique, but I don't know if that's a good thing.
