Amazing cafe with fab vegan options

I love this place - it’s easily the nicest cafe in the area and definitely the one that caters most to vegans as it’s all veggie or vegan. The food here is freshly made & delicious. The owner Giuliana is so friendly & welcoming, and makes all the food & cakes herself.

When I’ve been, I’ve had vegan sausage rolls with salad, open sandwiches (my favourite is The Greek with rocket, sundried tomatoes & hummus), pasta & specials. There’s always one or two vegan cakes but go earlier in the day as they sell out without fail by the afternoon. The menu isn’t huge but it’s quality rather than quantity.

The cafe is located in one of Cheam’s oldest buildings, Whitehall (a museum - also worth a look around) and in the warmer months it’s lovely to sit in the garden in this beautiful historic space.

Pros: Fresh & delicious lunch options, Cakes , Friendly atmosphere & great service

Cons: Limited seating inside but the outside is lovely, Only open Wed- Sun

Authentic Italian

Really lovely place. Plenty of vegan options, I asked if their hot chocolate was vegan, it wasn't, but they were very accomodating and happy to make me a vegan one. Will definitely return.

Great coffee and brunch /cake in tranquil setting

I've been here a couple of times with different friends (not veggie) who also thought it was lovely, relaxing and a great escape from Covid . The coffee is as just you'd expect to get in Italy and as a vegan it's great to have a choice. Giuliana is clearly passionate about her food and it shows! A real gem....

Pros: Lovely village setting, Great customer service, Fab food

Cons: May need to book if at lunchtime, Not open Mon-Wed

Vegetarian and Vegan friendly tearoom

Freedom Caffè is at Whitehall Historic House in Cheam Village. Stunning and unique location for this vegetarian and vegan tearoom.
Food is cooked fresh onsite and there are different interesting options. Our vegan croissants are amazing along with gluten free cakes as
Pistachio Cake or Almond and Lemon. Vegan brunch options are available. We offer a different choice of grilled panini. Our best? Friarielli (Italian bitter but tasty greens) sautéed in garlic and olive oil. Divine
We are well know in Cheam for our artisan Italian hot chocolate and for the high quality of our coffee from the Italian artisan roaster Agust.
Our new entry: Barley cappuccino
