Very pleasant surprise

I shan’t lie to you, my experience of vegan food at village/suburban pubs has been predominantly very disappointing (if I have one more flavourless stir fry with sub-par vegan sausages rather than tofu or any other genuinely good meat substitute, I will personally tear down Linda McCartney’s entire legacy).

However, the vegan arancini and gnocchi (which I think were both specials), were really flavourful and enjoyable without feeling too heavy.

Good salad

There are only a few vegan choices on their menu but what we did eat was very tasty and good quality. I would recommend the Mango and Black Bean Salad and the homemade hummus and flatbread.

Delicious food- we had the wild mushroom bourguignon and the coconut panna cotta

Delicious - well presented. Good to have something other than usual vegan burger option.
