Amazing

I can't wait to go back here. The food was excellent and the owners even spoke with me directly. They were adding a dessert menu the day I went so I am excited to go back and see it.

Pros: Great food, Good atmosphere, Friendly owners

Cons: Slightly pricey (but worth it)

Creative, delicious meals!

I drove 45 minutes just to come for lunch, and it was more than worth it. The dishes are unbelievably creative, delectable, gorgeously balanced, and beautifully presented. I had the spanakopita and soup of the day: curried carrot coconut. The staff is warm and friendly and knowledgeable, and both the indoor and outdoor dining spaces are beautiful.

Pros: atmosphere, creative dishes, great staff

Cons: hard to find

Would Come Again

Food was very good. I had paella and nori rolls. If you go it's around the corner to the left of where you see the 109. The whole block of stores is 109. Kinda confusing.

Pros: Yummy, Nice Atmosphere, Friendly

Cons: Hard To Find, A Tad Slow

Contemporary Vegan in Ridgefield!

The previous restaurant at this location (So Good Vegan Café) was certainly welcome, but the food there was hit-and-miss. The new FOOD EVOLUTION carries on the same vegan contemporary food tradition, but with new ownership, and a terrific new vegan chef. Last night, my wife &I sampled several appetizers (including the Fiesta Nachos, which were terrific), and our two main courses (Buddha Bowl and Garden Greens Spanakopita) were both fabulous! We split a white-frosted coconut cake for dessert— it was moist, fresh and absolutely wonderful. Cheap it's not (main courses are around $15), but certainly not out of line, especially for this area. Service was prompt and friendly, the new owners were gracious and welcoming, the place looks and feels great, and the entire experience just could not have been any better. As far as we're concerned, this is the best vegetarian restaurant in the state. We're looking forward to trying everything on the menu! Updated 7/26/14: We've been back several times, and incredible as this may sound, it just keeps getting better! Can we give the place a 6th "Happy Cow"? No? RATS! It's "Excellent" and then some! How could we describe the food? "Nouveau Vegan"? The fare here is fresh and delightful, and the deserts are— well, the word "sinful" comes to mind. Go and enjoy!

A feel good restaurant (like a feel good movie) !

My husband took me out for dinner on my Birthday and I was so glad he picked this lovely restaurant! Being a vegan, I am used to having very little choice on the menu but with this all-Vegan menu – I was totally spoilt for choice!! We started with the Crystal rice and Nori rolls with delicious peanut sauce - fresh, crisp, fragrant with herbs. My husband had the Chilled Pea Soup with mint – light and refreshing. Perfect start for a summer meal! For the entrée, I ordered the Wild Rice Paella with vegan sausage – the wild rice was cooked to perfection. For my taste, I would have liked a touch of spice to the dish (I love spicy food) to kick it up a notch. (The dish did have a tiny bit of Siracha – but more for color than for taste.) Every ingredient in the plate had its own special place and the yet dish came together beautifully. My husband’s comment with his mouthful of Portobello mushroom burger was “ummmm, moist but not slimy. Very flavorful!” The dessert was the perfect ending to a very healthy n satisfying meal - we had the Red White and Blue Sundae with vanilla coconut ice cream and hot fudge, blue berries, cherries, candied almonds… need I say more!
It seems like the new management has hit the ground running and are on track to taking this restaurant to a whole new level (Evolution!). Kudos to the chef – who seems to construct each dish with great care and a delicate touch. The staff was warm, welcoming and attentive. They certainly made this Vegan’s Birthday a very special one. Can’t wait to go back and taste the rest of their menu!

Pros: Excellent, healthy, fresh delicious food, Calm, relaxing ambiance and great staff, Outdoor seating available

Cons: Location needs more sinage.
