Pretty Good - Edit
I always appreciate a restaurant with vegan options, I just have a few critiques for this place. My main issue was the plastic silverware. Just so wasteful and really ruins the vibe. The drink selection was also fairly limited, but not bad. Overall I might come back but I wasn't super impressed.

Cons: Plastic silverware , Very few drink options

Light and healthy - Edit
We've been here quite a few times. There's plenty of veggie and a couple of vegan options. I like to get the Mother Earth bowl with tofu. The ingredients are very fresh, the employees are nice and the service is quick.

healthy nourishing vegan bowl - Edit
I decided to mix it up during my Austin vegan food tour. I bumped into Flower Child. I decided to get some dinner here. I went with the Mother Earth bowl that comes with ancient grains, sweet potatoes, portobello mushrooms, avocado, cucumbers, broccoli pesto, charred onions, leafy greens, red pepper miso vinaigrette, and hemp seeds. I added tofu as my protein option.
Read moreThe bowl was tasty, healthy, and nourishing. I wish there were more vegan options on the menu since I am a long time vegan yet Mother Earth bowl is a lovely vegan option for vegans and those that love plant based cuisine who are in Austin looking to mix it up a bit. I have had the most amazing vegan Tex Mex innovative tacos here yet the Mother Earth bowl at a Flower Child was a nice paradigm shift.
Pros: The bowl was tasty, healthy, and nourishing.
Cons: I wish there were more vegan options on the menu

Very healthy chain - Edit
This place offers healthy food, including a number of clearly marked vegan items. You order at the counter, then sit at a table and they bring you the food. The atmosphere is somewhat like a cafeteria.

Yummy - Edit
Flower Child never fails to have really fresh food and interesting teas/lemonades. I recommend getting a “plate of three” and choosing from their many vegetable choices to create your own dish. The Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, and Sweet Potato are all solid 👍🏼

Good for lunch - Edit
On a business trip to Austin, I went to this restaurant chain a couple of times albeit at different locations. The downtown restaurant has opened more recently but is all set up and comfortable. You order at the till, find a table and the server will bring your food when it is ready.
Read moreThe menu is very clear and labels the vegan items.
I ordered the Thai Cashew Quinoa bowl and another time the Vegan Poke bowl and added on tofu for some extra protein. It was tasty and for once I felt like I was actually nourishing my body. The reason I give it only three stars is because I can see myself get bored with the menu pretty quickly and they are not fully veggie or vegan. Good option to have for lunch though.
Pros: Vegan food clearly labelled, Fresh, healthy ingredients, Location
Cons: Limited choice of vegan items, Good for lunch but pricey, Limited opening hours
