Maybe a one off?

I visited Fattoria based on other reviews but had a negative experience, so maybe it was a one off. Nothing on the menu was vegan by default, and I asked the server if there was any way to order a vegan pasta. He looked at me appalled and told me to order their pesto pasta dish. I asked if the pesto had parmesean, and he said no. As expected, he came out later and said it did have cheese, and if I wanted oil and garlic. I said that sounded nice. When the dish came, while the ingredients were high quality vegetables and pasta, it was bland and flavorless. I did not detect any garlic sauce, and it didn't even taste like salt was used. Very bland and disappointing. The server was also really off with our table, and seemed annoyed that we weren't a high-bill table (bill in the end was still over $300....). Will not ever return for subpar food and poor attitudes.

Best vegan meal in Vail Valley

I would give it 5 stars but Happy Cow only gives that to all vegan. We’ve had a difficult time finding decent vegan food in Vail Valley. This place was heaven sent. We had Campanella pasta marinara (no pesto); and the La Torre Pendente delle Verdure, which was this lovely smoked roasted veggies over exquisite vegan risotto. Magnificent! And the service was top notch.
