Great food

When you enter the community area, go through the courtyard to the stairs straight in front of you. The restaurant is on the rooftop.

I had an extremely cheap, very filling, super delicious meal here and had no idea this place had a restaurant until taken there by a local who recommended it as my best option for vegan food.

Delicious food, a little bit of English spoken by the Djiboutian staff, but the Ethiopian employees definitely know English. No pictures or descriptions on the menu, so just ask for vegetarian food and they’ll get you the sampler plate with tons of traditional Ethiopian foods and injera bread.

They don’t know what ‘vegan’ means, so don’t try to talk to them about it, but if you say ‘vegetarian’ and mention ‘no dairy’ they can easily understand this.

Great food and great experience. Would go back.

Cash only.

Pros: Friendly, Knowledgeable

Cons: Serves meat, Range of options limited
