Bespoke vegan options!

Gosh, but it's hard to find vegan options in Djibouti. But in this restaurant, if you mention you are vegan to the very friendly owner, he will rush off to the kitchen and make you a bespoke vegan meal. The days I went, he made me a cashew nut curry that was one of the best Indian meals I have had in East Africa. This came with subtly minted, delicate chapatis. In a country where it is incredibly hard to find anything vegetarian, let alone vegan, Kurry deserves to be your first port of call in Djibouti.

Pros: A number of good Indian 'standards' on the menu., Tailor-made vegan options., Very friendly owner.

Cons: Location is a bit out-of-the way, but worth it.
