#1 Bagel Spot - Edit
I’ve been going to Ess-a-Bagel since I was a kid (when it was located on the other side of 1st Ave). They’ve recently added vegan sandwiches, Stockeld cream cheese, and Prime Roots slices. The new vegan additions are great but I usually stick with a classic bagel and tofu cream cheese—they do it better than anyone.

This ess-a-bagel has more vegan options than their other locations. They offer stockeld cc flavors in addition to their tofu flavors and also have 2 vegan sandwiches on the menu. I got a whole wheat everything with the stockeld garlic herb and it was delicious. 🥰 my partner got the stockeld paprika cc and it was pretty good too. They don’t make the bagels overly sweet here and the texture is perfect. I might have to come back and try the vegan Parisian sandwich with koji mushroom meats.
