Fresh Veggies - Limited Options. - Edit
I tried this sandwich shop after seeing it listed on the app, and while I appreciate that they do offer a customizable option, the overall selection for vegans is very limited. Most of their menu is centered around meat sandwiches, so if you're strictly vegan there are not many choices to work with.
Read moreI ordered the Farm House sandwich, holding the mayo and choosing Dijon mustard on sourdough. I have to give credit where it is due because the vegetables were genuinely impressive. They tasted extremely fresh, like they had been prepped that same day, and that brightness came through in every bite. The lettuce had that crisp snap, the tomatoes were juicy without being watery, and the other vegetables had a clean, vibrant flavor that made the sandwich feel thoughtfully assembled rather than just thrown together.
What really stood out was the craftsmanship of the build itself. There was a noticeable sense of balance in the proportions. The sourdough provided a sturdy base but did not overpower the fillings, toasted just enough to give structure while still being soft when you bite into it. The vegetables were not piled on randomly. They were layered with a kind of quiet precision so each ingredient contributed without overpowering the others.
The Dijon mustard tied everything together beautifully. Its sharp, slightly tangy bite cut through the natural sweetness of the vegetables and added just enough acidity to keep the sandwich lively. Instead of drowning the sandwich, it was applied with restraint, more like a deliberate seasoning than a condiment, which gave the whole thing a surprisingly artisanal feel. It felt like someone paid attention to the ratio of bread to filling, crunch to softness, and acidity to freshness, which elevated what could have been a very simple veggie sandwich.
Despite the care put into the sandwich itself, it is hard to overlook that the shop primarily caters to meat eaters. On a vegan focused app, the lack of dedicated plant based options stands out. With a little effort by adding a few more vegan builds or proteins they could easily turn that same attention to detail into something much more welcoming for vegan customers.
Overall it lands at a 2 out of 5. The ingredients were great and the sandwich was thoughtfully constructed, but the very limited vegan options make it difficult to recommend if you are looking for variety.
