The sugar rush my inner child has been waiting for

Not only is the bakery amazing and the coffee and tea delicious, the staff is incredibly friendly and patient! I have heard it can get pretty busy but the day we came was nice and quiet. They have limited seating - two three chair tables, one six chair table and a window facing bar with stools. I would recommend getting their glazed donut and a lavender chai tea. But if you’re just stopping through the area, go for their flavors of the day. Everything is made in house so it all tastes fresh and scrumptious!

Pros: Everything is vegan, Has vegan packaged snacks too, Staff is friendly and nice

Cons: Not a lot of seating, Pricey (~$3/donut)

Fully vegan now 🤓

I’ve been here a few times and was surprised to read that they were ever not fully vegan. I love stopping by whenever I’m in the area. The doughnuts/eclairs are incredible- but I really appreciate their market area: Conscious cultures Cheeses, lots of ice cream, vegan protein options, baking supplies, hot vegan honey. The hot foods they offer have been hit or miss for me. I love the mushroom burrito, but the crab cake style salad was super greasy and not for me.

Send an update so they change the info to vegan!

Their online menu says that although oat milk is the standard offer, they offer whole milk on request--so according to HC rules, it should remain listed as vegetarian.

Lots of options

They updated their menu this year and have a bunch of new options. Most of the food is on the heavier side but they have some yummy salads too. They do specials pretty frequently which is nice for extra variety.
Donuts are always delicious and the artidan vegan cheese in the grocery section is AMAZING

Pros: All vegan, Reasonably priced

Amazing comfort food in Alexandria

The made-to-order sandwiches, which we had with fried Brussels sprouts on the side, are otherworldly good. Donuts looked outstanding. Friendly staff.

Best donuts ever

My friend just brought me some vegan donuts for my birthday and I had to ask her, “Are you sure these are vegan?” They taste so undeniably delicious that I couldn’t believe it!! Even my teenage sons couldn’t believe it! AMAZING!!!!

went for vegan breakfast sandwich

I stopped by to try and grab a breakfast sandwich. They were out of the vegan sandwich. I got some munchkins which were good. I asked about the chai and was bummed to find out it is not vegan. I will give them a try for lunch.

Pros: vegan options

A New Fave

Entire plant-based spot. I'm new to the plant-based lifestyle and happened upon Elizabeth's Counter. Glad I did! Ordered for myself and a non plant-based friend but he was very impressed and liked the food. I ordered the Hansen Be Cheesen Burger with fries, the Yard Bird sandwich w/Brussels sprouts, the Sweet Potato Pie Donut and an Iced Chai Latte w/Oat Milk. Everything was superb! This spot is definitely on my Top 5 for good vegan comfort food.

Pros: All vegan food and select vegan pastries.

Cons: Brussels sprouts portion smaller than advertise

THE BEST VEGAN PASTRIES

We drove from Woodbridge to give this place a try! Elizabeth's is hands-down the best new vegan cafe I've found in 2020! We tried 12 different pastries (don't judge us everything looked so good figured why not), and the chicken sandwiches with brussels and fries. All was so good!

Pros: Lots of vegan options

Cons: Pastries a little expensive

Favorite New Spot!

Delicious donuts and pastries in wonderful flavors. Faves were a coconut caramel donut (think girl scout samoa cookies) and an apple cider donut that was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside.

Felt totally safe going in given COVID. Everyone was masked and distant. A couple tables were set up outside for anyone who wanted to stay and eat.

Lunch menu wasn't available when I was there. I'll definitely go back later in the day for that!.

Pros: COVID safe, Two tables outside, Donuts and pastries with lots of vegan options

Cons: S'mores popover wasn't great

Best Breakfast near Old Town

This was an adorable and cozy spot right near Old Town Alexandria. Almost every donut and pastry was vegan and of the ones I tried they were all delicious! I can't recommend the vegan breakfast sandwich enough: sausage and cheese in a donut was a perfect start to my day!! Also worth note is the great selection of coffees with multiple non-dairy milk options.

Pros: Vegan breakfast sandwich, coffees, and baked goods

Cons: Lunch burgers & sides aren't available until noon

Great treats!

I really enjoyed the maple doughnut and oat milk chai latte. The staff was super friendly and helpful with the vegan options. I only wish the breakfast sandwiches could be served on bread/bagels instead of doughnuts.

So much vegan!

They have lots of sweets and some diner style food like burgers and bowls. I’d say at least 90% of the food is vegan. Donuts were delicious! Fried chicken sandwich was good too.

Pros: Vegan donuts!, Friendly staff, Sweets reasonably priced

Cons: GF donuts are not vegan , S’mores popover not great

Worth the drive!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is not vegan labeled but most of the donuts are vegan. About 14 of 16 options for a dozen are vegan. They impressed my non vegan husband.

Pros: Lots of vegan donuts! , Amazing options, Street parking close by

So many options!

The donuts marked with a V are vegan and there were about 10 options. The cinnamon roll was delicious and would have been over the top if it was warm. The frosting on the Jolly Jelly was too sweet for me and I would have preferred a jelly that seemed closer to being homemade but the yeast part was perfectly fresh and fluffy. I would definitely come back to try more if I had the time.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Soy & almond milk for coffee

Cons: Not all vegan!😄

Vegan donuts + speakeasy

The donuts are awesome! Love the variety and the fact that most are vegan! The customer service is quick and friendly. There is also a hidden speakeasy called Captain Gregory’s on-site and the drinks are fantastic.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Good location, good service, Hidden bar

Cons: One donut has bacon. Boo.
