A MUST GO in Tulum! So cheap and so delicious. 4 items was enough for us. Be sure to order your toppings as it only comes with the protein. And then onion, cilantro, lime, and sauces are self serve at the bar. The drink of the day when we went was horchata!

Das Essen war unglaublich lecker. Es werden verschiedene Soßen zur Verfügung gestellt vin sehr scharf bis zu nicht scharf. Man kann auf 4 Gerichten wählen und selbst gestalten. Wir würden definitiv wieder dorthin.

I think I tried all of their different tacos. My favourites were probably al pastor and green chorizo, though all of them were really good. Also had the drink of the day which was tasty and refreshing.

Very good Taco place. Had 5 different Tacos, don’t remember which exactly but they were all amazing. They have a little station with sauces and toppings. Can only recommend this place and would definitely go there again.

I was not so hungry and just tried the Tacos for snack. I loved that you could create your own version. Prices are fair and compared to others restaurants in tulum “cheap”. Is hard to find fair prices here.The restaurant is more basic and not place that’s inviting to chill. But all good -I will definitely come back.🙌

Omg I can’t wait to go back!! I tried four different tacos but my favorite was definitely the bistec!!! Adding tomato and the toppings at the topping bar (pickled spicy purple cabbage, cilantro, lime, salsas) take every taco to another level. I love that the location is colorful— the artwork and catchy plant-forward sayings inside and outside are so cute!Seating is plentiful (extends to adjacent Cacao Bar)

Best tacos in Tulum! - Edit
I was so happy to find this place! Unpretentious and fairly priced, these tacos were full of flavor and there was a toppings bar to layer on the spice. My favorites were the suadero and bistec tacos but all of them were good, really. If you want to escape the bland and overpriced food by the beach, you must come here! You won’t regret it.

El Bajón Vegano serves some of the tastiest Mexican food you’ll find, of the authentic street-food variety. We tried nearly everything— the tacos, huarache, tlayuda and tostadas — and all were as delicious as we’ve had anywhere.
Read moreOne thing we appreciate is that most of their vegan “meats” here are house-made, not processed, and they all wowed us with flavor and texture (except the oat-based chicharrón, which was fine but not amazing). Some are mushroom-based while others use seeds and other ingredients for flavor and texture.
They serve the tacos and huaraches without salsa or garnish, leaving you free to dress them up as you please from the bar that includes free condiments such as salsas (both spicy and mild), fresh cilantro, lime, onion, etc.
Yes, as mentioned in a previous review, some items are saltier or oilier than some health-focused diners might prefer, but if you’re looking for the best tastes in Tulum and you’re willing to tolerate a little of that naughtiness, El Bajón Vegano should be on your short list. Flavor-wise, we’d rate it near the same level as Suculenta down the street.
Note that the tacos are quite reasonably priced at 25 pesos each, but other menu items will drive your bill up faster, and most portions are all the small side so you’ll want more than one item if hungry. Still, for the quality of flavor, you can find good value here. (And if you’re wondering why the tlayuda is more expensive, it’s gigantic, and could be shared by two people.)
They also make a decent vegan brownie.
We ordered in Spanish so we can’t say how much English is spoken, but the menu has English on one side and Spanish on the other.
