I really loved the food, very authentic and delicious! Great service and very reasonable pricing. The tacos and torta are delicious! Our server was called Lalo and he was very friendly attentive and helpful.

Great value for money. Each taco was 25 pesos (Nov ‘25).
We also tried the Huraches, but it was not as good.
I would get their cucumber juice again. It has 2 free refills included.
Left the nice waiter a tip.

Lovely little Taco Shop - Edit
Small Menu, but packed with a lot of flavor. All kinds of vegan tacos with vegetables and meat substitutes, there’s a little topping bar where you choose the toppings yourself. 10/10 will definitely go there again 🌮❤️

Si quieres comer unos buenos tacos en Playa, el Bajón es buenísima opción. También están en Tulum. Muy bien de precio, sabor, las salsas buenísimas, el servicio muy bueno, buen ambiente, cerca de la Quinta. Las tortas y los huaraches también están riquísimos

Best vegan food in Mexico - Edit
El Bajón was hands down the best restaurant I tried in Mexico. The tacos were incredible, and I also had a sandwich (can’t remember the name) that was just as good. Small menu but everything was delicious. Staff were super friendly. Unlike other vegan spots in Playa, this place was packed with locals, not just tourists.

Then at the table you get a nice selection of salsas and even more simple toppings!

Cute tiny hole in the wall spot with great food and great hosts. Great tasting tostadas! There is even a miniature bar of toppings inside: three salsas, pickled red cabbage, cilantro and white onion. Has some nice original art inside too.

This restaurant is small but mighty, a feather in the cap of Playa del Carmen! Three tacos and a torta filled me up quite nicely. I took an extra bistec taco home along with a chocolate cake. Each more soul was more delicious than the one before.
Read moreHaving the ingredients offered to dress my taco as I pleased was a clever moved and a huge flavor boon. I am amazed that this place is not packed such that one has to either stand and wait or make reservations. That I mentioned that it is also economical?!
Not even gonna fool around, I am definitely going back and stocking up on tacos for breakfast.
