Serves meat, vegan options available. Was veg but added meat in 2015. Volunteers operated cultural centre where concerts take place hours after nightly meals. Weekly changing menu (no choice) three-course meal. Reservation recommended for Thur and Fri 6pm meal. At north end of Oude Gracht canal.

Good food before your concert - Edit
Before you go to a concert here you can have a 3 course meal for only €15,-. I only eat here once, but from what I heard it changes a lot, so I'm curious to go back there. Forgot to make a picture of the dessert but here are the starter and main dish.

Perfect place for a night out - Edit
Ekko serves a nice three course menu for 15 euros. You can choose either a vegetarian, vegan or meat menu.
Read moreWe orderd the 3 course vegan menu. The starter was a bruscetta with champignon-stew, the main a filled portobello. On the night we were there the dessert was caramelised banana with a typical dutch cookie on it. Because the cookie was not vegan, and the did not have a substitute, we were offered a free cup of coffee, which i found very nice and thoughtful.
Be advised that the place gets busy, because the dinner is usaly on a night that there also is a concert in the venue. We boooked early (around 6 pm, which was before it got really busy). Whe attending the concert, you also get a smaal discount on the food.
Pros: Great price, tasty food, ran by volunteers
Cons: can get crowded quite early

EKKO - Edit
EKKO has a three course vegetarian set meal (easily made vegan) which changes weekly, and you can see what's on offer in advance on its website. A hearty and fresh salad was followed by a delicious stew and then a simple dessert. This was excellent value. You can buy the meal separately from the live music tickets if you wish, and although it is advised you make reservations, we just turned up at 6 on a Thursday and this wasn't a problem. Relaxed surroundings and friendly staff.
