We were amazingly welcomed. Everything vegan, apparently for religious reasons. The green dumplings are the best!

Truly the best vegan in Suzhou - Edit
The food was amazing and the people where so nice as well! Johnny is such a nice person and talking with him was a very nice addition to the lunch we took. I would recommend it to anyone coming to Suzhou, even if they're not vegatarian! The restaurant in itself is also very nice and it really felt like home with homemade mother's dishes!

Delicious food and cozy place - Edit
We had a very positive experience at this restaurant. Run by a mother and her son, we felt welcome at every moment. All dishes are vegan and very tasty. The place is a little bit difficult to find. I recommend writing this address in Amap: Bazhen Handmade Dumplings Mama De'ai

Very yummy food, we got dumplings, wonton soup, goose, and spring rolls and all were very tasty. The waiter's English was very good and he even went to the shop for 2 beers for my dad. Healthy, tasty, authentic food

It felt like home - Edit
We had lunch here during our trip to Suzhou and it was one of the most unforgettable experiences of all our trip to China. It feel like stepping into one's home, quite literally and you will find yourself seated in the living room with the best home food served on the table. We had dumplings (delicious!) and so many other good vegan dishes! Definitely a place to support and love.

Vegan delights - Edit
An exceptional Vegan treasure that thrills the palate with dumplings bursting with zest, adventurous vegan dishes such as Vegan Roasted Goose, and vegetable dishes that display an artisan touch in its bold pairings...homemade plum juice adds to the fragrance of the small, cozy, welcoming vibe offered at Eight Treasures. A true gem of Suzhou cuisine and one that must be tried by the trendsetters and go-getters taking photos outside.

Dumpling perfection! - Edit
Truly outstanding food, served in an unbelievably cute restaurant.
Read moreThe map showed me the wrong location, so I'd recommend plugging the address into Google Maps or alternative app if you're also struggling to find it.
See also the photos attached - I inhaled the food far too quickly to photograph, so I'm sharing some location shots instead. If you can see the mouth of that alleyway, just keep going another 30 metres... and what an incredible area to explore before/after while walking off the too many delicious dumplings you just ate! Worth it.
Seriously - make it your divine mission to find and experience this amazing place.

Give it a try when in Suzhou - Edit
It was worth following the map (used Amap) to find this homey vegan restaurant! We only had dumplings and fried spring rolls, but loved the cosy atmosphere and the kind service. Too bad we are the only customers, because it’s a wonderful place! Worth visiting if you are visiting Suzhou.

Vegan Oasis in busy Old Town - Edit
妈妈的爱/Mother’s Love is my favourite restaurant in Suzhou. It’s one of very few fully vegan options in the city but it’s also loved by all my meat eating friends. The food is very homely, not too oily and absolutely delicious ranging from the famous dumplings, to mind blowing mock meats to crispy spring rolls to fresh green veggies. The staff are lovely, prices very good and the cool serene atmosphere inside makes you completely forget you are in the midst of a bustling tourist hub.
