Read morei'm not keen on their 'chicken' skewers with peanut sauce but their 'chicken' balls are great and i just get peanut sauce on the side with those. also highly recommend their noodles, and 'duck' pancakes. and the squid and beef alternatives are incredibly similar to the real thing it's very impressive!
Pros: tastes like the non vegan version, loads of options, all food is vegan
Cons: a lot of like fake meat instead of alternatives, quite expensive

I absolutely love this place. I'm always on the lookout for vegan Chinese food of this kind. I usually have trouble finding restaurants where the food reminds me of the non-vegan Chinese takeaway that I used to get before I was vegan. Eastern Vegan's menu is extensive and everything I've had is delicious and just what I was hoping for. Their vegan meats are very meat-like. I LOVE that they're fully vegan!
Read moreMy only concerns are that some dishes don't come with the sides or condiments that I would expect. In their online ordering system, I couldn't figure out a way to order regular rice for the side (they do have fried rice dishes). My expectation was that the dishes such as vegetable or "meat" dishes that didn't contain noodles or fried rice dishes would come with a side of rice automatically, but this doesn't seem to be the case, and there doesn't seem to be a way to add rice to the order when ordering online. This only just came to my attention the last time I ordered from there, though, so I'll update this if I find out that I just overlooked something.😄Also, a heads up, the spring rolls/egg rolls didn't come with sweet and sour sauce, we had to order it as a side separately.

Amazing Chinese food with a great blend between authenticity and takeaway style. Everything from chicken balls to squid, things I couldn't get vegan anywhere else. The curry dishes are loaded with vegetables too!

So delicious. It was brilliant to be able to experience Chinese takeaway as I remember it from pre-vegan. Everything was excellent but I especially recommend the sweet and sour balls and the duck pancakes. I wish I had some left over for breakfast!

Really delicious Chinese food - and all totally vegan! I drove 20mins to collect an order and would happily do it again. Everything was hot and fresh.
Read moreIt's typical Western Chinese style food, but they use mock meat replacements to replicate all the normal dishes you find when going to a Chinese restaurant. The "chicken" satay skewers were particularly tasty.
If you're considering trying Eastern Vegan, you absolutely should!

I used to love Chinese takeaways before going vegan and the food here is exactly how I remember it tasting. It has all the classic dishes and more, the portions are large and it all tastes amazing!!

Reading has been a bit hostile for fully vegan places. Really hope this makes it. Large portions of takeaway , just as I remember it. The faux meat really varies depending on what it’s copying. Looking forward to going back and trying different dishes each time.

Everything you’d expect from a Chinese takeaway, but all entirely vegan! It’s not healthy, but it tastes good. It’s not cheap, but the portions are huge, so ultimately it works out not bad value.
