How can you not love a farmers market

A great variety of vendors: produce, bakeries, vintage clothing, art… the list goes on.

While the physical Eastern Market building (see pics) is beautiful on the outside, the inside is basically a deli with a bunch of dead animal parts…. so I would avoid that if you can!

Local gem inside and out!

The outdoor farmers market at Eastern market on the weekends is a necessity for local vegans. Produce, mushrooms, bread, microgreens, nuts, fermented goods, plants, candles, wares, etc.

The indoor portion of eastern market has a lot of helpful stalls for the more eclectic cooks. Harder to find ingredients like kaffir lime leaves, star anise, galangal, etc are available at some stalls. Be warned though, a lot of meat is available and on display inside.

The food trucks are also great! Zoe’s Vegan Delight is the highlight for sure, and it’s conveniently located right across from the food scrap drop off location:)
