Only 100% Vegetarian Restaurant in Morocco - Edit
After traveling extensively in Morocco and becoming tiresome of vegetable tagines, Earth Cafe was exactly what I needed! The food is organic and straight from the owner's farm located outside the city limits of Marrakech. The portions are large and worth every Dirham. I visited the cafe 3 times in a week and looked forward to it everytime. Try the vegetarian pastilla...absolutely delicious!
Read moreLike everything in the medina it takes a little time to find, but it is very close to the main square and is highly worth the search. Friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere.
The cafe also sells their own organic olive and Argan oils as well as olives and other preserves.
Enjoy!
Pros: Delicous, large portions, organic

Earth cafe review - Edit
We walked in full of expectation after hearing about this restaurant. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Service is fast. The quality of food could be better, it was quite high in fat content and nothing special to speak of. Not very hygienic which made us decide this was a one timer

Not worth it - Edit
The place hasn’t been cleaned for years. We felt really uncomfortable just sitting there. We ordered the vegan brownies and coffee. It was ok. But never coming back to this place again.

Veggie/Vegan quaint restaurant. - Edit
Family run restaurant all the way from the farm. Big vegan choice as well as the veggie stuff, didn’t see any fish options as mentioned in another review. Test your French with the friendly staff because English is at a minimum. Great quality food very good prices. Wanted to give 5 star but app won’t let me as it has meat options but I didn’t see any on the menu.

Nice place, fiendly staff - Edit
We stumbled accidentaly here, while lookig for other restaurant.
Read moreThe place is nice, has a nics feeling. We saw only women working at this time, who were very nice and friendly. Their English was nor very good, but we managed. We felt very wellcomed.
We had the "special" for 100 dirhams, which included meal, coffee/tea and brownie. Number 8 - rice and lentils in coconut sauce were ok. But no taste explosion. The number 5 - philo pastry tasted better, but was a little bit small, compares to the rice. But the brownie?!?! Boy, oh, boy! That was great! Big piece. Dificult to eat big. Ans they have soy milk for caffee. We spend 200 dirhams for 2 people 20 dirhams tip. So over all, for me, good. But next time, I would try another restaurant.
Pros: Nice place, vegan/vegetarian, firendly staff
Cons: The food needed more salt and spices.

good to have a veg option, but disappointing food - Edit
I saw that the location by Place de Ferbianters (by Bahia Palace) was full of people, and it had a veg burger on the menu, so I tried the one closer to the main square later on. The "burger" isn't a patty of any kind, but is white rice in the shape of a burger, with a sauce on top to look like a bun. There were a few lentils and vegetables mixed in. The presentation was rather nice, but the substance wasn't there. Too bad because there are so few veg places here.

Awful food - Edit
This was the biggest let down experience and food wise.
Read moreI wanted so much to love this food as a vegan. Unfortunately it disappointed. Between me and my GF we ordered 4 different meals that all somehow tasted the same while being completely different. It was just burnt veg drowned in oil. All I could taste was oil.
The vegan burger was not a burger I was burnt oil and veg smashed together.
The rice dish, the rice wasn’t even cleaned or cooked properly nor was the veg through it and just drenched in oil and soy sauce. Would go back nor would I recommend. The waiter was nice
Pros: Nice waitress
Cons: All the food, Taste of oil, Lazy beyond any effort

Sad vegan experience - Edit
I ordered the 'burger' but ended up with a mountain of lentilles, some overcooked vegetables and soy sauce. Everything tasted as it looked. Horrible.

Worst vegan food ever, avoid - Edit
We ordered vegan "burger", which was basically just something resembeling a patty (no buns), doused with brownish liquid, resembeling soy sauce, but smelled and tasted like fish. It was just disgusting. Worst vegan restautant we have ever been to.
Read moreDon't know how it qualifies as fully vegetarian, since they serve fish and another couple got a fish before our order, so that may be the source of the fishy taste of our food (same pot?).
Please do yourself a favour and avoid this restaurant.
If it would be possible, we would give zero stars to this restaurant.
Pros: None
Cons: Disgusting food, Tastes like fish, Not really clean

The food does not taste good. Is not helpful for vegan restaurants to offer low quality food and poor dishes.

Vegan heaven in Marrakech - Edit
We arrived into Marrakech by taxi and were dropped off at our Riad. We could not believe our luck- 1 minute walk from our Riad was a vegan/veg cafe. There are about 5 main vegan options all 60 dirhams. This menu price is set which we liked and thought was very reasonably priced. Drinks are 20 dirhams including fresh orange or fresh orange and cucumber which are lovely. On top of this the food really is outstanding. Try everything on their menu if you’re in Marrakech!

This review is actually for the one by plaza, near Dar Anika. Fun Vegan burger. Not a burger at all, but spicy mix of veggies and some rice. Recommended, even on a very hot day...

Delicious and attractively presented! - Edit
We had an excellent burger that was beautifully presented (see pic). It was less like a burger and more like a patty and chocolate brownie for dessert. Easy to find on the edge of the Médina with lots of signage (see pics).

First taste of Marrakech - Edit
Having got a list prepared of vegan eateries for our holiday, my partner and I headed straight to Earth Cafe after checking into our Riad. It’s in a super location not far from the main square and well signed. We opted for a couple of simple dishes - both vegetables, one with rice and one with noodles. Both were really tasty choices and they washed down well with a freshly squeezed juice. The interior was a typical Moroccan mix of eclectic furniture, pastel shades of red and orange on the walls and was quite charming and not quite what one would assume from the outside. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Marrakech.

Disappointing - Edit
We had a disappointing meal here. It was the least favourite food that we’ve had in two weeks travelling in Morocco. My wife is vegan and myself and two kids are vegetarian. The food was really oily, a bit mushy, with a lot of strong garlic. On the plus side the waitress was really nice, but I wouldn’t go back.

Decent in a pinch - Edit
I landed here on the go, and the food wasn’t bad for the price. But it was really just that: not bad. My food tasted quite oily and the flavors were a bit bland. I got the vegan tart for dessert and wasn’t impressed, I’m afraid.

Okay food but nothing special - Edit
The food here wasn't bad, but also not particularly interesting. We tried two different dishes and they both tasted sort of similar. The staff spoke surprisingly little English considering this restaurant is clearly targeting tourists, making it somewhat difficult to inquire about ingredients if you have any specific dietary needs.
