If your idea of perfect is eating at a small all vegan restaurant where the food is prepared with pride and love, and you are supporting the dream of a kind small business owner and the food is delicious, then this is your place.
Read moreTucked away on a small street with outdoor seating only is the adorable little café.
We got the omelette with feta, gyros, and cheese pie. The owner Nik, whose name we know from another review, gave us a slice of halvas on the house as a new raw dessert he was putting on the menu.
We got the opportunity to find out how Nick came to open a vegan restaurant. He saw a post on Yulan, the Chinese dog eating festival, and it made him crazy upset. Then he saw a comment that eating pigs and cows and chicken etc was no different: he went vegan on the spot and the seed for this unique restaurant was planted.

Tasty, quick and easy - Edit
I had an "nomelette" here one day, which didn't really taste like an omelette, but was tasty nonetheless - more like a lighter version of farinata. Another day I picked up a mushroom pastry to go which was also very nice, although more pastry than mushroom!

Pure Love for this Place ❤️ - Edit
Slowly I have to think about moving to Athens as my top 2 favorite breakfast places worldwide are now located in this city. Early Bites is one of them.
Read moreThe cute little café is located in the heart of Athens and attracts you not only with its nice menu containing mostly vegan version of Greek (breakfast) dishes, but also with its surprisingly cheap prices.
The food itself is superb as well. I had the Greek Style (N)Omelette plus a Mushroom Pie, and I absolutely loved it. The cappuccino I got along with it was the best I had in a long time!
Oh, and I haven’t mentioned the owner yet. Nikos (or Nick) is a lovely and kind-hearted guy who fulfilled his long-cherished dream to open a vegan restaurant about ten months ago, by opening this little gem.
Not only did he introduce me to Cappuccino topped with cinnamon (I love it!); he also took his time to sit down with me for about 20 minutes to have a chat while there were no other guests to serve. We had a lovely conversation, all in all it was just a wholesome experience.
The next time I’ll be in Athens, this will be my first place to go to!
Thank you Nikos, and all the best for fulfilling your dream and making this restaurant a success 💙
See you again soon!
Pros: Super Friendly Owner/Staff, Amazing Food, Cute Atmosphere

Fantastic food and super nice owner - Edit
We were welcomed by the super sweet owner, the choice of dishes is great, and the food is f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c (it may take a while to get what one ordered but it is so worth the wait!). We had dakos salad- the best salad I ever had and one of the best things I ever ate, leek pie and hot dog. All were super delicious. We will surely come back!

From the moment we arrived, the owner/host was helpful, smiling and respectful. He patiently explained the menu options and even substituted an ingredient for me. Reasonably priced and delicious, simple food - vegan at its best. Only limited outdoor seating, but this is Athens! Highly recommended!

I have been here two times during my stay in Athens. I highly recommend! The pastries (savory & sweet) are very good, greek Omelette and greek Club Sandwich were fantastic! But the best about Early Bites is the sympathic owner. You should absolutely try and visit!

Omg Athens is vegan heaven - Edit
After eating at Vegan Beat, I didn't think that another place would beat it (sorry for the pun!). But Early Bites is on the same level! We came 1 hour before closing and the owner was very friendly and kind. Explained us the difference between the omelettes, and also the dessert (chocolate log, a vegan version of a traditional Greek sweet). We got the nomelette greek style, souvlaki (gyros), 2 orange juices (freshly pressed) and the chocolate log. To to go, a cheese pastry. Everything was MARVELLOUS and full of flavour!!! Very typical simple greek kitchen, made with love. And it is so cheap! I will be back for sure. The place is highly recommended! #Veganuary

Fantastic Greek pies and yummy fresh juices - Edit
We stopped here before climbing to the Acropolis. Lovely little spot. The owner/chef was wonderful. We loved the sweet cheese pie and the Greek style omelet (chickpea flour style but nicely seasoned and prepared.) the fresh juices were lovely and unique. We tried the Kiwi-Green apple, and the cinnamon-pear-apple which were both great. The owner does all the cooking and is a passionate vegan and animal activist. Very much want to support this business. #Veganuary

Best place for authentic vegan food - Edit
The best place for a affordable breakfast or lunch. Every time we visited, we sat outside amongst friendly locals drinking their coffee and chatting. This seems to be the ideal place if you want to avoid touristy spots and get the best vegan food.

Nikos makes great food and will gladly explain all the different food options to you. Me and my sister came back several times for the tasty breakfast and snacks. I recommend the souvlaki, the apple, pear, cinnamon juice and obviously the greek nomlette. If you want to avoid the touristy spots and get some authentic greek food the vegan way this is the best place.

The Best Vegan Food in Athens! - Edit
The Best Vegan Food in Athens! We came back three times in our weeks holiday and tried so many delicious bites. Highly recommend the Caesar Salad (the best thing we tasted on the whole trip), omelettes, hot dogs, cream puff pies, pumpkin pies, ‘meat’ pies and so much more. The owner is also incredibly friendly and humble and will happily recommend other vegan places in the area if you are looking for something specific. Thank you ♥️

I was confused... - Edit
but positively surprised. I googled vegan bakery and it suggested "Early bites" so I expected cake and stuff. Instead it's more about pies and stuff. The owner is honestly the kindest person, he explained all the sweet things he has and I ordered the chokolatebananathing. Wow, yummy! Perfect for hot days because its served frozen. Lovely place, great neighbourhood. Immediately an old guy started talking to me and even though my greek is fine for tiny conversations, he kept speaking German an English with me.
