Ok

Admittedly I've only been here twice because I was hanging out for a dumpling fix.
Most places I have found that advertise vegan options are stretching the honesty.
I needed dumplings, they sold dumplings - everything was OK.
Nothing to write home about.
Price versus fare - well I needed dumplings - so was OK.
Hobart can be expensive, so this was a quick fix.

Dump a dumpling on my plate please!

Watch the ambulances roll by as you are served up some fast and tasty dumplings! My girlfriend added some nice chilli to ours and we just hosed down some water to keep us alive and away from the opposite ED

Great cheap option in the CBD

All the vegetarian options marked on the menu can be made vegan, but it may be worth checking the noodle type to make sure you don't get egg. Ordered a dumpling noodle soup and tofu stir fry noodle - both were really good, with large portion sizes and only set us back $21.

Pros: Good range of vegan options, Good portions for a cheap price

Fair vegan dumplings

Had both boiled and fried vegan dumplings here for dinner. Clearly handmade (could see them being made), taste was okay, though nothing too special. $11 for 10 to 12 dumplings in 2019

Pros: Vegan dumplings, Handmade

Cons: Taste was nothing special

Good veg dumpling soup

Dumplings are good. Asked for rice noodles instead of wheat. Laksa taste wasn’t the best, but still good. Very filling, affordable and big servings.

Not a great option, if you can go elsewhere

This is a cheap and cheerful place to get takeaway if you don’t have the energy to cook for yourself. There is one veg*n dumpling option, which, if you’re going to “Dumpling World” for the promise of dumplings, is a disappointment. It could more accurately be called “noodle world,” and the noodles were fair. I’m pretty sure the dumplings were brought in, not house made, but couldn’t be certain. They were bland at best.

Pros: Cheap, Low-key, Quick

Cons: Not that nice, Boring dumpling , Warm beer

The best dumplings!

Dumplings are out of this world! They are freshly prepared and taste as they should (not from a frozen food packet).

vegan dumplings in laksa

The dumplings had hardly any filling, the staff are very rude. They didn't tell me it was help yourself to the cutlery. So the guy brings over my food. 5 mins later l. I said I can't eat with my hands. He said get your own cutlery! And pointed, Will never be back again

Not that great

Upon my arrival I asked if the Stir fry was vegan and the cashier lady said 'it maybe is...'. I then asked for any possible animal products and she said no so I ordered it. The place is quite expensive for what you get. The portion size is rather small so don't expect too much if you go here hungry. The Stir Fry was alright, nothing special and it's was pretty soaked in oil and whatnot. No worth $10.

Pros: Fast service

Cons: Expensive with small portion sizes, Doesn't taste that great

delicious dumplings

As others have said it can be tricky to find evening or public holiday options in Hobart, so this place is useful to know about. The veggie dumpling is not stuffed full, but very flavoursome. Whilst options here are limited for the vegan, the deliciousness of the dumplings makes up for it. I'd choose to eat dumplings here again even if other places were open!

Pros: hand crafted flavoursome dumplings

Cons: not many vegan options

Who doesn't love dumplings?!

Had tasty food at dumpling world: veg dumplings, tofu stir fry, spring rolls.
It was all good.

Service was friendly, but expect to organise your own water, cutlery. Was very busy with locals when we visited, good value for money.

Pros: Value, Tasty, Central location

Open AND Have Tasty Food!

Everything seems to shut in Hobart at about 3 or 4 in the afternoon (if it opens at all).

But not Dumpling World!

Their boiled veggie dumplings are yummy (and generous for what you pay, $10 for 12 pieces), the veggie spring rolls are tasty and the rice paper rolls are fresh.

I wish they'd marked whether some of their things could be made vegan or not. But that's really a rather minor point. The service was quick, the food was good and without them, we might have starved! Ha ha! I love you, Dumpling World.

Pros: Veg friendly, Friendly Staff, Cheap but good food

Juz finish my meal n luv their veg. dumplings

Food overall was good and can be better if it's less oily. Dumplings was v.gd as the dumpling skin are most probably purely hand-made which is how proper dumplings shld be. Service was v.professional with a personal touch. Only down-side was their veg. was really mini and not worth d money. (chilli contains garlic, not for us vegetarian who does not take any garlic or onions)

Pros: dumplings-handmade, service

Open on Weekends for Dinner!

This was the only place we could find open on Saturday and Sunday evening in Hobart that had vegan options. All the other nearby restaurants were not open! That said, we were very grateful for veggie dumpling and other small dishes.

Not fine dining, but several good choices for hungry people.

Pros: open more hours, quick service, convenient location

Cons: not exclusively veg
