I was under the assumption that this place had ample vegan options, when in reality they only had a few. Tried the pad thai dumpling which was honestly not good, no flavor, I don't even know how they can call that pad thai. The mushroom wontons were mediocre, the green beans were okay, but the only stand out were the sichuan edamame. Also tried the thai salad with tofu and it tasted off, way too salty and acidic. To be honest, everything was insanely salty. I should've read the previous review and skipped this place, so if you want to try this place please read these reviews and do the same. 😭
I came here while visiting Bend and decided to try a few different things. I was especially excited for the classic pad Thai dumpling, but sadly, it was quite bland. I had to use some of their coconut lime peanut sauce (which was delicious) to add a little flavor to it, but I felt like the dumpling should have been able to hold its own without a condiment. The kung pow dumplings (one of the specials) were a little better, but definitely benefitted from the sauce as well. The cucumber salad was actually the best thing I ate here. It was very flavorful and not spicy at all. Honestly, the food was kind of all over the place in terms of taste. Nothing was bad, just the stuff that was very flavorful (cucumber salad and coconut lime sauce) was amazing, while the dumplings were just kind of meh. I would definitely go here again and try some of the other options, or perhaps go with fried instead of steamed dumplings next time.
