Stopped by for a late night treat - Edit
My friends and I stopped by here on our way back from a restaurant for dinner. I was excited at the fact that they had vegan gelato in the first place. When I went, they had two flavors that were vegan - Chocolate and Vanilla.
Read moreI do wish that they had more vegan flavor options. I do also wish that they had some affogato creations that could be made vegan since when I looked at the menu nothing really looked like it would be vegan so I didn't bother asking. The actual gelato that I got was pretty good, and it did have a denser and smoother texture than your typical ice cream which is what you look for in gelato.

Lovely Cafe Shop [but] only 1 vegan ice cream flavor - Edit
Enjoyed the vegan coconut ice cream very much and I would happily try it again however it was the only option. I don't see myself returning if they only have one option and not knowing when the next batch will come out. Some other places in NOLA offer up to three nondairy choices but not as good. This place is better then most but lacking resources.

Great coffee, only 1 vegan ice cream flavor - Edit
Coffee here is great with a few plant milk options. There is one vegan ice cream flavor, their coconut based cookies and cream. It’s stored in the back, so make sure they give you the vegan one! I ordered it, and as soon as I tried, it tasted like dairy ice cream. Upon further inquiry, the employee insisted it was dairy free. I went back the next day and found out that they store the dairy free one in the back, and I remember the employee hadn’t gone to the back to scoop mine. I was very upset, hence the three stars.

Hi Karina, thank you for your review! I am manager at Drip and had rectified this issue as soon as I saw your comment a few weeks ago. We now keep the vegan flavor in the case and label it clearly for both customers and employees. We rotate out the vegan flavor each batch so that there is more variety available. Once we have a larger ice cream case, we hope to expand our offering of nondairy ice cream flavors. We have also modified and improved our vegan ice cream base since your visit.
