Incredible vegan restaurant - Edit
AMAZING VEGAN FOOD! Lovely interior and excellent plant based dishes, favourites were a Jerusalem artichoke creamy soup and beetroot Tarte tatin and the sticky toffee pudding was to die for . Reasonable rates and came here with a group of meat eaters who were equally happy! A must visit.

We loved all the dishes we tried. We had a sharing platter to start and it was delicious and enough for 4 to share. The mains were amazing. We will definitely be back!

Best breakfast ever! - Edit
We had breakfast here on Jan 3rd 2025, and it was amazing! Bit pricey and a bit of a wait, but worth every minute and every penny. I had the full breakfast and every single element was just perfectly elevated, with so much care and attention...and a clear love and appreciation of good food. I'm still thinking about that baked tomato (I mean that's supposed to be the boring bit, right?). I can honestly say it was my best breakfast EVER (vegan or not). Partner had the fritata which was equally elevated and delicious. These guys are doing awesome things, really really well, and are definitely worthy of support! #Veganuary

Dr Legumes hit the spot, offering a mouth watering menu and delivering on taste, presentation and vegan credentials.
Read moreIt's a diamond in the rough, set in a fairly rough part of town, but certainly worth a visit as it's plate lickingly good!

Dropped in to this amazing place while staying nearby. Both the Kimchi slider and banana blossom 'fish' were amazing. I especially loved the pickled vegetables with the oriental salad, scrummy!

By far the best vegan food in Folkestone. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, even compared to super high end and expensive restaurants. I loved it!

Hippy Hangout and All That Jazz - Edit
We enjoyed brunch here, though my teen son said it was "hippy food", and the eclectic 'jazz' music didn't aid digestion. Food's described as 'plant-based' (which can mean anything), but we confirmed it's all vegan.

This is the most superb vegan food I’ve ever tasted in a very down to earth environment. We’ve just moved to Folkestone and very very happy to be so close to such an amazing vegan restaurant.

Fantastic (Non vegan - vegan food) - Edit
We've eaten at this plant based restaurant a couple of times and the food is superb. My wife isn't a vegan and we've taken non vegan friends and they raved about the food. Highly recommend.

Great tasting freshly cooked food, friendly staff. The only con is that the food took a while to be served on both occasions, however, it is definitely worth the wait 100%!!

Had the Pastrami Ruben and Nori Tofu sandwich. Can highly recommend both. Served on different types of the freshest bread that was toasted to perfection. The flavours and textures on both were exceptional!

Don’t be put off by the fancy menu - this place is great - Edit
I’ve checked out this place for years. Every time I go to Folkestone, I always stop in and check the menu. I always turn away because I don’t fancy anything on the menu. The descriptions are so posh, I actually don’t know what this dish is and that kind of puts me off.
Read moreBut tonight I just bite the bullet. I didn’t fancy anything anywhere so I just thought I’d just go in and see what the staff recommended. They recommended something I just couldn’t comprehend so I stuck to a safe mushroom roti dish and it really didn’t disappoint.
I ordered from the evening menu and had the sweetcorn and seaweed chowder with fig cornbread to start followed by the Masala Oyster Mushroom Salad Roti. Both dishes were so good that I wish I had ordered more. For the evening menu, a small dish and a big dish was enough if you are not too hungry (my appetite been up and down lately) but for people with big appetite you might need third dish.
Only criticism I have is I felt the fig cornbread didn’t go very well with the sweet corn chowder (don’t put the sweet bread into the soup) but separately they were delicious.
****updated - went back the next day for lunch and the customer service was great. They remembered me from the day before (without prompting) and gave me a royal service. I ordered the Phish Goujon Ciabatta and a side dish of the Beetroot Carpaccio. Both great dishes. If you love beetroot, the Carpaccio is a must ☺️
****updated 29th August 2021 - went for Sunday lunch and has the Pea Meat Ballantine and the Cinnamon and Fruit french toast for dessert. Both great dishes, The Ballantine is quite light but just filling enough. The french toast a lovely autumnal taste and one to go for if you love cinnamon. It’s very filling so together with the Ballantine, they make a good combo 😋

Lovely breakfast - Edit
Came here with a group of vegan runners after parkrun for breakfast. The staff weee really accommodating, taking our orders in advance so we didn’t have to wait long. Staff were friendly and we were all able to sit outside. The food was delicious- beautifully presented as well as tasty and I loved the bacon they had! I need to go back to test the lunch/dinner menu!! Very good.

Amazing - Edit
Amazing vegan food and drink options. Staff were lovely. We went when they were about to change their menu over so they advised there would be limited options but there was still lots of choice.
