Great Falafel & Quinoa Salad

A great find in Kotor for lunch, with several vegan options. The menu clearly labels their vegan options, with there being houmous, bruschetta, soup, falafel, salad & pasta options. Falafel was crispy and very tasty. Not boring at all. And came with flatbread, houmous and tabbouleh on the side. And quinoa/veg salad was filling and nicely presented.

Pros: Several main meal vegan options, Vegan items clearly labelled on menu, Delicious falafel

Few options

Mainly starters and soup vegan, one main available. Service was just about ok even though it wasn't busy. Potions are big but the price was more than other places. Also the tabbouleh lacked herbs, it was more just a cucumber, tomato, onion and bulgar wheat salad.

Pros: A lot of seating, Reasonable options

Cons: Prices

A good protein salad

I had the protein salad (quinoa, mushrooms and seasonal vegetables including carrot, and asparagus). A large bowl and tasty! Slightly pricey, but that’s the case near the port of Kotor.

Good to have vegan options in Kotor but...

There are a few options listed as vegan on the menu. I ordered the pasta and specified vegan at least twice to the waiter and he nodded in understanding. When he brought it out there was grated cheese on top. He didn't seem to understand that this was a problem having cheese on a vegan dish. I suspect (am hoping) that someone other than the chef grated the cheese on top at the end before bringing it to me. When they re-made the pasta and brought it out again it tasted quite nice. When I returned it I mentioned that I had a severe dairy allergy (a necessary lie) so they would be more likely to cook it again and not simply remove the cheese and re-serve the same plate!

My tip, proceed with caution!

PS the iced soy latte was an absolute treat in the hot weather!
