100% Vegan Fine Dining! - Edit
We had an amazing dining experience at Dirt. We arrived with high expectations based on our previous experiences with chef Kevin Storms, and they were completely exceeded.
Read moreKevin is the creative force behind Foodstorms, known for its innovative vegan culinary pop-ups in Ghent. The dishes at Dirt were creative, refined, and above all incredibly flavorful. A true must-visit for anyone looking to experience vegan fine dining at the highest level.
The restaurant is located next to the redeveloped Dok Noord site. The interior is sleek and modern, with both table seating and bar seats for guests who enjoy watching the chefs at work.
Dirt. offers a fixed tasting menu, which we paired with the wine arrangement, while the driver enjoyed alcohol-free beer. From start to finish, we enjoyed beautifully crafted and highly creative dishes of outstanding quality.
Considering the level of creativity and quality, Dirt. offers excellent value for money.
With Dirt., Ghent has gained a new culinary hotspot!

Lovely vegan fine dining - Edit
Lovely gastronomic 5 course dinner for 85€.
Read moreWe were here early on a Saturday evening. It's def advised to make a reservation, as it was full later in the evening!
We were the first patrons, and quickly got our amuses. But then it took a very long time before we got the first course (50 minutes). Luckily, later courses were more timely!
We enjoyed each course, the flavours, the presentation, the portions. We've always enjoyed Kevin's culinairy creations, from way back at restaurant Avalon nearly 20 years ago, and later his catering with Foodstorms and his pop up restaurant in the city centre of Ghent.
Really good price/value. Nice decor, relaxed, comfy seatings. The only thing that absolutely was not our cup of tea was the lounge music all evening 😉.
Friendly, albeit reserved service.
One toilet at the back. Clean. Nice sink, individual towels. Love that. Unfortunately no accessible toilet, although there certainly was space enough. Stepfree entrance.
Note: some pairing drinks might not be vegan, but it was said they give a heads up when this is the case.

Fine dining, clever vegan flavours - Edit
Loved this experience. Fine dining but with a laid back atmosphere. Lots of interesting vegan flavour combos, from the amuses at the start (shiso leaf with an almond purée inside... beetroot and coffee tartlet...) all the way through the set menu to a lovely dessert.
