Worst Meal I Have Ever Had

We were in Richmond on the Sunday night of Memorial Day Weekend, and this was our only option. The samosas were filled with some fake meat material in addition to the potatoes, peas and other traditional fillings. They were overly filling and over heated. The Sambar was spicy but tasteless. The puri was mediocre. The noodles--some concoction of shredded carrots, uncooked onions, and chinese noodles with Indian spices was inedible. I don't know what the other reviewers saw in this place but for people who like organic food, food cooked with love, fine food, this felt a lot like fast food from a small airport somewhere in India where the point was just to serve some type of food. We didn't eat again until 2pm the next day--that's how bad this meal was.

VERY Good chat!!!

I love Desi Street food! Not only do they have an extensive Vegan section to their menu, it all tastes amazing! I have enjoyed lots of good Indian food throughout my life, including incredible home-cooking from friend’s Grandmas, and Desi Street food rates up there with the best of them!
Try their vegan samosa chat, it’s soooo good! Their chapatis and potato curry are perfect and their sambar is really delicious. I also loved the kathi roll, so good!!

Pros: vegan menu, delivers with uber eats, delicious!!

Hidden Vegetarian Gem near Richmond

I love this place! It has so many different options of Indian Street Food and reminds me of my mothers cooking. The Pani Pani flavors are really worth trying and you can't go wrong with the different combos they have. The prices are are also very reasonable. It is right next to a large indian grocery store so I always pop in for a bite before I go grocery shopping. If you like Indian food you have to give this place a try!

Pros: Reasonable prices and large portions, Lots of variety of indian street food made fresh, Thali is a great combo for dinner

Cons: Location is a little out of the way

Good Indian Street Food

The Bhel Puri is a tasty crunchy snack, big enough to share. A lot of the dishes can be made vegan by asking for no dairy. Nice flavours and spices. The aloo (potato) curry was a bit oily, but had a nice flavour. There is a supermarket next door where you can buy similar snacks. Sadly they use one use styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. I guess it is easier for them. I would prefer to see to them use compostable one use wares.
