Fantastic

So good! I love that they have a vegan sampler platter so that you can try all of their vegan options. I had never had Ethiopian food before so it was good to get a taste of everything. Vegan options are clearly labeled.

Great flavors and big portions, I got the Bayaynetu for 1 and I couldn’t finish it all. Service was good, too. I will definitely be back!

Pros: Clearly labeled vegan options, Large portions , Friendly service

Always hits the spot

Every one of their veggie options are delicious. They also have 100% gluten free injera and are good/knowledgeable about cross contamination!

In It for Injera

The vegan entrees come with a side of any of their vegetables on a bed of injera and two pieces of injera on the side. The sour flavors of the injera paired nicely with collard greens for me.

favorite ethiopian!

i would totally give 5 stars if i could because the vegan options they have are really tasty. this is my favorite ethiopian restaurant i’ve been to so far! i love to get the vegan sampler with 9 different vegan dishes. the variety is super nice and it’s an easy way to try all the vegan options on the menu ! additionally, the service is really fast and they’ve squeezed my party in when they were super busy. speaking of that, definitely make a reservation.

Pros: really good service , lots of options!

Love at first bite!

Loved it. We did the vegan sampler for 2 but it could have fed a 3rd person. I loved 90% of everything (not much of a beet fan). If you love Ethiopian food or to try new things this is for you.

Doesn't live up to the hype

They do have a vegan option however food is okay. Quality is so inconsistent.

Favorite food

I would give a 5 if I could. Best food for a full flavor experience. Order the vegetarian messob so you can try many things. The menu notes that all vegetarian items are vegan. Beautiful meal with delicious fermented injera.

Demera

I ate at this restaurant in the past and I had issues with service as well as quantity and quality of food. Here is my review I wrote at the time:

The server kept forgetting things like our drinks, our appetizer, and even mixed up the items we selected on our plates. And lastly, did I mention that we waited 40 minutes for our drinks and appetizer? Not a good thing when you're so hungry you're approaching a "hangry" state.

I've ordered similar vegan dishes at neighboring Ethiopian restaurants and have had amazing meals, but the same dishes at Demera were subpar. One of the items, of which I did not order, was a powdered chickpea dish and it tasted like dog food. The portions were not impressive either, much different than their competitors. I never need to return here.

Amazing Food

My family comes here all the time! They have great gluten-free Injera and we love their vegetarian messob plates to share. I would give them 5 stars if I could!

Amazing!

Would give five stars if I could. Have a whole vegan section of their menu, but we usually get a messob or the bayanetu which are combination plates so you get a taste of everything. Love the restaurant itself, but takeout has been great during the pandemic.
