Fascinating venue - Edit
The venue is decorated and planned beautifully. Food is creative and unexpected. Would be nicer if they hosted vegan markets instead of organic markets on every other Sundays.

De Nieuwe Groene afslag is weer net zo’n fijne plek als ‘de oude’.

Disappointing weekend menu - Edit
This is a nice restaurant but their weekend menu for the 2025 summer is really disappointing. They didn’t state on their website that the regular menu would be invalid during the weekends, so we came and couldn’t order lunch items. They only offered a barbecue (€24,50 pp), some snacks and some pastries. They now only sell pastries by Viola’s Patisserie, which are expensive and with inconsistent quality.
Read moreI’m more charmed by their lunch items. The fresh sourdough bread is great and the sandwiches with tempeh and with peanut creme/seitan are the best. Very tasty and with a good bite. The no-tuna sandwich no-egg sandwich were only decent.

What a nice experience! - Edit
DGA is wonderful gem tucked away in nature. We sat outside in the sunshine and were fastly attended by a friendly and knowledable member of staff.

Huge sustainable location - Edit
Loved this huge location just off the highway. Went there for lunch but was happy to find all the other options it offers (renting meeting rooms, hosting dinner parties or borrels). This place is an experience. Their lunch menu has many uncommon options which makes me want to come back to try more.

We had a quick lunch, the soup and bread combi which came with a salad. Not so big the portion but fair for the price and nice. We finished with a vanille-pistache cake and an almond cake, both were nice.

Fully vegan, great food, great price, nice vibe - Edit
This is one of the few fully vegan restaurants in the area. I’ve been here multiple times and every time the food was great. The sandwiches are very reasonably priced, there is a fairly big assortment of vegan cakes and pies, and even vegan hot chocolate. Besides being vegan, de groene afslag focuses on sustainability and a circular economy. The vibe is also great, staff is friendly and the location is great next to the forest. The terrace is child friendly and surrounded by nature. Really the only downside is that inside it can be a little noisy during lunchtime in the weekends, because it’s quite busy then.

Currently the restaurant offers pop-up dinners twice a month. We joined and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the venue inspirational, and the staff super friendly! I cannot wait to go again.

Dat ik als veganist deze plek nog niet kende, verraste me, zo dichtbij ook. Even zoeken hoe je er komt, maar dan beland je op een originele plek met restaurant en terras praktisch in het bos. Hond is welkom. Een zeer creatief en ambitieus project door een ondernemende eigenaar opgezet. Helaas konden we niet uitgebreid eten omdat er een privé feest was vanaf 17 uur (had ik nergens op de site gelezen) maar borrelplank je voor 2-3 personen smaakte goed, het wijntje ook en mijn gezelschap had de moussaka die ook heerlijk (smokey ) was. Ontzettend fijne en inspirerende plek om te eten. In een oude kazerne is alles ingericht met gerecyclede materialen en is slim gebruik gemaakt van hergebruik. 100% began kaart waarop heerlijke soepen, broodjes en warme gerechten staan. Ook zaalverhuur. Aardig en vlot personeel. Aanrader!

Creatieve groene plek in Laren - Edit
We waren erg verrast om dit volledig Vegan restaurant te ontdekken. De menukaart is origineel. We namen cappuccino met maanzaad Lemon taartje. Het was super lekker. Het personeel is behulpzaam en aardig. In het gebouw zijn “eerlijke” spijkerbroeken te koop en kamers te huur, werkplekken en vergaderzalen. Alles ziet er creatief uit. Wij komen zeker een keertje terug.

Warm, welcoming vibe with diverse guests ranging from business people having meetings to a group of young boys having a slice of cake. Food was fresh, tasty and obviously made with care. Yum. Definitely worth the trip!
