Het was met de auto even zoeken maar uiteindelijk de Groene Afslag gevonden. Lekker in de zon op het terras geluncht, de Arayes en de No tunasalade waren heerlijk.

Een haute cuisine multi-gangen-menu voor een prikkie. Het ene gerecht nog verzorgder en verrukkelijker dan het andere. In het weekend is het er heerlijk rustig! De locatie is heel leuk en creatief ingericht.

De Groene Afslag is a wonderful food and visual adventure - Edit
My spouse and I have been vegan since 1991 and 1990 respectively. We love going out and travelling for vegan food. The Groene Afslag is such a fantastic experience, not only because of the amazing food, but the visual joy of the environment, and the wonderful staff. Walking into the structure, one knows immediately that one is entering a new experience. The visual stimuli is amazing, sculptures and other art works around the building. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, interestingly cozy even though a large space. We had the chef’s tasting menu and everything was so delicious. It consists of multiple courses and a dessert. We especially loved the Mush belly, a delicious mushroom dish that was innovative and imaginative. These two descriptors truly apply to all the food, the concept of the place, and the environment. This is a wonderful place and has the highest recommendation possible.

I had high expectations. The location was nice, the staff friendly. But didn't care much for the options. Had a big and delicious soup. But the main was small-ish and not very interesting. Deserts also not great so I was a bit disapointed...

Read moreIt happened twice that we ordered a dish that was unavailable. That was a bit disappointing because those were our preferred choices. Then they served sweet potato fries that we didn't order. Apparently they gave that on the house to compensate for the inconvenience. I like the gesture, but it would've been better if they mentioned that while serving. It added to our confusion.
Viola's gluten free chocolate cake for dessert was one of the best cakes I've had in the Netherlands.
The concept and location are wonderful, but it's hard to find the parking spots.

We waren met een groep van 13 personen waarvan alleen ik vegan was. Het restaurant is leuk aangekleed en de bediening doen hun best. Soms maakten ze fouten met de drankjes maar dat wijt ik aan hun leeftijd. We hadden de proeferij en het eten was okay. Sommige gerechtjes waren lekkerder dan anderen. Wel een nadeel dat de porties erg klein waren en de tafelgasten klaagden naderhand ook dat ze nog honger hadden. Toen kregen we (te laat) te horen dat we gratis een extra gang hadden kunnen krijgen, dat was niet verteld tijdens het eten. Ook leek de prijs niet overeen te komen met wat op de website staat.

Disappointing weekend menu - Edit
This is a nice restaurant but their weekend menu for the 2025 summer is really disappointing. They didn’t state on their website that the regular menu would be invalid during the weekends, so we came and couldn’t order lunch items. They only offered a barbecue (€24,50 pp), some snacks and some pastries. They now only sell pastries by Viola’s Patisserie, which are expensive and with inconsistent quality.
Read moreI’m more charmed by their lunch items. The fresh sourdough bread is great and the sandwiches with tempeh and with peanut creme/seitan are the best. Very tasty and with a good bite. The no-tuna sandwich no-egg sandwich were only decent.

DGA is wonderful gem tucked away in nature. We sat outside in the sunshine and were fastly attended by a friendly and knowledable member of staff.

Huge sustainable location - Edit
Loved this huge location just off the highway. Went there for lunch but was happy to find all the other options it offers (renting meeting rooms, hosting dinner parties or borrels). This place is an experience. Their lunch menu has many uncommon options which makes me want to come back to try more.

This is one of the few fully vegan restaurants in the area. I’ve been here multiple times and every time the food was great. The sandwiches are very reasonably priced, there is a fairly big assortment of vegan cakes and pies, and even vegan hot chocolate. Besides being vegan, de groene afslag focuses on sustainability and a circular economy. The vibe is also great, staff is friendly and the location is great next to the forest. The terrace is child friendly and surrounded by nature. Really the only downside is that inside it can be a little noisy during lunchtime in the weekends, because it’s quite busy then.

Dat ik als veganist deze plek nog niet kende, verraste me, zo dichtbij ook. Even zoeken hoe je er komt, maar dan beland je op een originele plek met restaurant en terras praktisch in het bos. Hond is welkom. Een zeer creatief en ambitieus project door een ondernemende eigenaar opgezet. Helaas konden we niet uitgebreid eten omdat er een privé feest was vanaf 17 uur (had ik nergens op de site gelezen) maar borrelplank je voor 2-3 personen smaakte goed, het wijntje ook en mijn gezelschap had de moussaka die ook heerlijk (smokey ) was.
