Lekkere vegan gerechten - Edit

Erg leuke zaak, fijne sfeer, vriendelijke bediening.
Helaas nog veel niet vegan gerechten op de kaart!

Pros: Fijne sfeer, Lekkere vegan gerechten

Decent vegan options - Edit

Sandwiches, soup, burger, one snack and vegan banana bread. Pretty expensive though. Nice atmosphere.

Good food, clueless waitress - Edit

The food at "de Eendracht" was delicious, but the service could have been better. We had reserved for a group of 10, including 2 vegans. When we arrived the table was set and reserved, but still had a chewing toy for kids on it? Furthermore the paper menu card only showed part of the menu, with only a vegan main and no starters. It was not communicated that their menu was larger, and you could see it online. . The waitress said their goat cheese was vegan (it is not), and she didn't know they had a default vegan main (tomato carpaccio). In the end (after asking the chef) she managed to get a vegan beetroot salad. (I had no clue about the tomato carpaccio, or I would have ordered that). The beetroot salad was very good though.

Meanwhile another waitress forgot to bring two of our drinks, and this kept happening throughout the night. A paper drinks menu was only available upon asking.

For the mains, there was one option (risotto) stated on the paper menu, but they also had another (burger), which was mentioned by the waitress, who insisted it was the only vegan main. Only afterwards did I see on their online menu that it was supposed to come with fries that they didn't serve, even though I paid full price.

For dessert, there was no vegan option on the paper menu. I asked the waitress if they had fruit or sorbet ice cream. She said they had fruit, but not have sorbet ice cream. I didn't feel like fruit, so I asked for a tea. She didn't ask which one I wanted, nor was it stated on their menu which ones they had, so I assumed she would bring me a selection. Wrong. She just randomly brought Earl Grey and a butter cookie...

Lastly when we asked for a bottle of tap water (on the side, next to multiple rounds of drinks we ordered) she refused, even though hospitality venues in the Netherlands are legally required to serve tap water for free when requested.

Summed up, the food I had was very nice, and the chef knew what he was doing. The waitress on the other hand, didn't know what vegan meant, and besides in every round we ordered, multiple things were forgotten. For a restaurant advertising they cater to vegans as well, this was a disappointment.

2.5 stars rounded up for good food, poor service.

Delicious - Edit

Nice atmosphere, service was quick and kind. Their menu changes each season, when I was there, they had 3 (labeled) vegan starters and 2 vegan main courses. Including vegan feta! I had a delicious tomato soup and roasted pumpkin for main. Both very well prepared. Definitely recommend going there, would have been even better if they also offered a vegan dessert option.
