delicious vegan breakfasts - Edit
Apart from being a bit more on the pricy side it's such a good place for feel good breakfast. I was a bit disappointed to see that they started including fish back into their menue though.
Daluma? I barely know her! - Edit
Ok, I'm going to be tough on Daluma. If you love Daluma, don't read this. Go back to your things.
A restaurant's main responsibility is good food. Good food is what makes Il Ritrovo’s service tolerable. Good food brings people together and makes them happy. Daluma, on the other hand, makes me angry I’m there and eager to leave.
Daluma’s food isn’t bad, but scarcely makes the cut. Their focus on health(ier) food is laudable, but the price is flavor. I'm not saying "healthy" food can't taste good. It's just that Daluma makes weird choices. I've been there some 5 times, and never came out feeling very happy about it. I've eaten "healthy" food in less expensive places that matched flavors really well. (My last experience with them included some funky-ass quinoa that tasted of nothing but paprika. Plus, a bad smoothie.)
Now, I don’t expect Berlin to always be cheap and punk. I don’t mind that The Bowl is priced a bit high. The markup on their dishes is synonymous with their good service and fresh ingredients. I can’t say the same about Daluma. It’s not Lucky Leek levels of expensive, but also not an experience worth the price tag. The money you pay at Daluma gets you acceptable food and a frustrating social experience.
Daluma is a haven to hipsters and overpaid young adults. Ok, that’s nasty. I’m sorry, but it’s just that every time I’m there, I feel so uncomfortable… People continuously stare at you. I expect they’re grading your clothes and haircut. Mine are nothing special, so yeah, I shoudln’t be at Daluma. As the song goes:
I wish that I could be like the cool kids,
'Cause all the cool kids, they seem to fit in.
Ask yourself: am I cool enough to be at Daluma? The answer is probably no.
It’s not their fault that service is hit-or-miss, and that too-cool-for-you people took over the place. But there was so much they could do better. The restaurant is uncomfortable, wastes a ton of space on the wooden pyramid, is far too expensive for what you get, and doesn’t do basic flavor matching. I’m sorry, I wanted to like this place, but I don’t.
The final nail in the coffin was the recent choice to go non-veg. Adding salmon to their dishes, claiming it to be sustainable. Sustainability is more than a hashtag, folks. I’m not saying this because I’m vegan, I’m saying it because I understand statistics: fishing is *not* sustainable.
If you’re in Weinbergsweg looking for healthy food, go across the street. Or up the street. Or to BioCompany. Just don't go here.

awesome fresh food! - Edit
I went there a couple of time and if you're into hip-superfood, raw foods and healthy stuff, you're at the right place! It's in Mitte, so it's pricey. But, the staff is nice, the place is cool, and the food is pretty good. I like their juices and shots, and I think you've always have the right amount of food in your plate.
Pros: very healthy and fresh foods, nice concept and place, nice recipes
Cons: pricey

Tasty but pricey - Edit
As other reviews have noted, the food is good. The problem is mainly the cost. Vegan food doesn't *have* to be expensive. But diversity of options is also good. Just beware that your wallet will be a bit lighter after you visit...
Pros: tasty food, convenient location, Pleasant outdoor seating
Cons: Expensive / price, Loud inside

Fresh, but pricey - Edit
This place offers a bunch of simple, fresh dishes as well as juices/smoothies. Mostly you choose your base like lentils, rice, or quinoa and then a topping. While our two bowls were fresh and tasty, they seemed a bit pricey for essentially some quinoa topped with lettuce, and a bit of other stuff (mushrooms and some small fruit pieces respectively). They use tahini, almond butter and the likes which explained the price maybe a bit.
Either way, tasty, friendly staff as well. Gets crowded, especially in the summer.
Pros: Fresh ingredients , Tasty
Cons: Pricey

Good but Pricey - Edit
I ordered an Acai bowl (I think it was called Acai Smooth) and my friend also got the buckwheat porridge and a pink fresh juice. Everything was good but it was a bit pricey for the trendy cafe. Came on a Wed morning and the place was packed. Friendly and helpful staff.
The only thing I would say is that my acai bowl was not as cold as I would of liked it, and the consistency was not as thick as your typical acai bowl, may of just been how it was made on that particular day.
I think I just had higher expectations for this place. Would love to try the chia pudding, or more savoury lunch options though!
Pros: nice staff, healthy food, good atmosphere
Cons: pricey, acai bowl wasn't cold

nice but.. - Edit
super nice food.. and friendly staff. BUT!
I have worked as a vegetarian chef for years and my experience at DALUMA was overall pleasant, but I will say charging nearly 14 euros for a bowl of lentils with some parsley and miso dressing is outrageous! Lentils are cheap, no matter how you 'season' them. This dish was really nice, but the price tag was crazy! The breakfast bowls also very overpriced, grains and fruit for 10 euro! Geez! Definitely marketed towards rich hippie moms in prenzlauerberg!
Pros: vegan, tasty, healthy
Cons: expensive, overpriced, yuppie

awesome breakfast - Edit
The breakfast bowls are amazing.
I love it when you get healthy and tasty food!
It was soooo good.
The stuff there is also very nice and friendly and the location looks great.
It only was a bit cold there. But it was a rainy winter day and I freezing very fast :-).
When we are in Berlin for breakfast again we definitely would go to the Daluma again.
Pros: so delicious , very healthy, nice location

Have to go back - Edit
I was really curious to check out Daluma as I've heard so much about it. We have tried two lunch options and like the concept to choose a base and a topping. I had the lentil with almond-lime topping and loved it. Will have to come back to try all the other options - the next visit will be for breakfast. The juices are also really good as well as the coffee (had it with almond-rice milk, very tasty). The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Great to have this healthy spot nearby!
Pros: all the food/smoothies/juices I like

Casual, genuine, inspiring - Edit
Two visits. This is beautiful and genuine food, and it makes you feel amazing. Daluma's food is blissful to eat, extremely healthy, and crafted with absolute expertise. I thought the crispy buckwheat sprouts sprinkled among blueberries on my acai bowl were particularly original and fun!
In a city blanketed in vegan food it can be hard to find the real highlights - this one is worth a special trip.
Pros: The tastes, just wow, So healthy it gives you super powers, Feel bulletproof afterwards

Juices - Edit
On ascension day, the only store with cold pressed juices opened.
Because it was a holiday, it was very crowded, but that didn't spoil the taste of the lovely juices. They gave me what i needed, energy and nutrition. Will definitly go back to try the food( breakfast and lunch)
The linzen with tomato and the quinoa with tomato are heavenly good :)
Pros: open :)
Cons: none

Fresh & Modern Cuisine - Edit
Beautifully presented and high-quality vegan cuisine. The way the menu works: you choose a base food item (eg. pasta) and then the toppings; which is limited if you intend to visit more than a few times. The smoothies are really good. Staff and customers can verge on 'too cool for school'.

healthy vegan breakfast - Edit
We ate here twice for breakfast and tried both the chia and muesli bowls. They put a fruit smoothie topping on both which made them really tasty. The juices are good but interesting combinations of ingredients. They have some premade breakfast and lunch items in a fridge so you can grab a quick meal to go or you can order to stay there and they'll make the food fresh for you. They have an English menu so just ask for it.
Pros: quick , healthy

Good healthy option - Edit
Great place for a healthy breakfast!!! Had chia pudding with berries and muesli also with berries the next day... not very delicious if you're more used to junky food but it's nice to start the day with something healthy while travelling (which is usually rare) for a change... :)

Best lunch in Berlin - Edit
This was one of the best meals we had while in Germany. Food is very basic with a choice of a quinoa, rice, noodles, or other base. You then have a choice of toppings with dressing, the food was light and delicious. Food is ordered at the counter. Seating is limited though with extra seating being communal stepped window boxes. The place was packed with locals confirming the consistency of great food. W
Pros: Best food, Organic, Healthy
Cons: Not great for formal dining

the wait is over - Edit
how long did i wait for a place like this and it finally arrived in my hood!
delicious healthy food for a fair price.
very nice atmosphere! besides breakfast, salad or soup etc. you can choose between different basics from pasta to lentils or even raw food and add your favorite topping hemp or tomato and a few more and the ingredients of those are just perfectly mixed together!
the only downside is that they have cowmilk as an option for the coffee, which i find highly inappropriate when declared as a vegan place!
Pros: selection of dishes, great atmosphere, fair prices
Cons: offering cowmilk

great breakfast - Edit
For around 5 euros, you get a coffee and tasty light vegan breakfast. This place was right by my hotel in Berlin so I made sure to check it out as it showed a big V for Vegan in HappyCow. Staff speaks great english. I had a double espresso + chia pudding topped with acai berries.
Pros: ambience, strong coffee, vegan breakfast
Cons: small menu; no real hot options

LukasB 30 Sep 2014 - I was just wondering what you meant by "no real hot meals" because at Daluma you can choose between 16 combinations for a hot main dish. I think that's much ;)
Take It Back 29 Oct 2014 - Why would anyone expect hot dishes at a place that advertises to mainly serve raw dishes?
