Lovely shop.

Well stocked shop.
But especially for the location prices are very high.
Cannot buy everything i want because of this, have to be a selective shopper.
Unfortunately only go there if cannot find certain products in other stores.

Great selection, but pricey

It’s a cracking little spot, with a great vibe and a wonderful selection of speciality vegan products and brands. It is, however, very much on the expensive side of things - which makes it hard to recommend as a weekly shop spot.

You also have to be careful as there are a number of non-vegan items on sale too.

Pros: Lots of hard-to-find products and brands, Great vibe - old timey

Cons: Pricey, Sells some non-vegan items, so have to be careful

Good range.

A little on the expensive side but a good range of vegan offerings.

Great selection, convenient location

When vegan friends talk about where they get their tempeh, their seitan or just their snacks, Daily Bread is always mentioned. The prices are higher than a supermarket and the selection might change from one week to the next, but they really do have a great selection of ingredients for vegetarians and vegans.

Unless something has changed, they also have cruelty free toiletries and household goods.

Pros: Lots of vegan ingredients, Not just food

Cons: Costs a little more

Good offerings

It’s a little expensive, but great for some special things you might want to treat yourself with or for seasonal shopping

Good food ingredients

We have been shopping here for over 20yrs and keep going back. Great basic ingredients which I think are all vegan (I can’t think of anything that is not). Lots of dried fruits, dried pulses and grains along with an extensive herb and spice selection and prepared foods, teas, coffees etc. Lots of fairly traded and ethically sourced goods. And run as a cooperative.
I would be lost without this store for my cooking ingredients
One down side of ethical sourcing is lack of “loss leaders” so if poor harvests affect production then you will pay more.

Pros: Great selection of goods, Ethical sourcing, Cooperative set up

Cons: Lack of specific goods if supply issues, Cost of some items
