This is a very traditional café and a must-visit if you want to experience authentic Korean culture. The bingsu is made in the old traditional style and is absolutely delicious. The toppings are made with high-quality traditional ingredients.

I will definitely come back. It's affordable, the atmosphere is wonderful, and everything is delicious. Without a doubt, this is my favorite place in Jeonju!

Read moreI only tried the bingsu (shaved ice). It was not in the right texture. There were large ice chunks instead of the soft powdery texture I was familiar with so it wasn't much fun. Also, didn't really like the toppings. There were red beans, matcha and two other powders (soy flour and black sesame?).

Hi, this café offers a traditional Korean experience. That's why the hanok doesn't have chairs, but instead uses floor cushions and low tables, as is customary in traditional Korean homes.

The bingsu served here is a traditional old-style version, made with high-quality, traditional ingredients. The powder on top is injeolmi powder (인절미가루), a traditional Korean powder made from roasted soybeans. The texture is also different from modern bingsu because it follows the traditional style.
I think you may have given it 3 stars because you didn't realize it was meant to be a traditional-style café. Once you understand the concept, it's easier to appreciate what makes this place so special. Serving authentic traditional bingsu for only ₩6,000, while most cafés charge at least ₩16,000, is actually quite rare.

ordered their binsu, red bean porridge on shaved ice. it had (i think) soy flour, sesame and matcha powder on top. it was very tasty!

The tea is located in the middle of the hanok village in a beautiful, well-tended traditional house. You can choose from a variety of tea that the owner will serve in a ceremonial way. These teas are meant to share (big teapots) whereas the other menu references the individual options (one bowl). Some teas can be served cold such as the Omija tea (home speciality) which was delicious and not too sweet. The flower tea was impressive and savory. The bingsu is very traditional and has to be mixed like a bibimbap: everything is delicious.

When I asked if she uses cows milk for bingsu, she goes “cows milk? No we only do traditional, we didn’t have cows milk back then!” So i went in and Bingsu was very tasty! Nice and cool for hot summer
