Honestly the bibimbap was quite mediocre - not bad but I just see no reason to visit this specific restaurant while they don’t even serve you vegan banchans. In their defence I gotta say I did not mention that I want banchans to be vegan as well but I guess that if I did I would just get less of them. If you are not familiar with which banchans are vegan and which not - definitely communicate that you don’t want the ones with fish sauce.

Go to 한국집 (Korean House) instead - the bibimbap is waaay better and they give you completely different (vegan) banchans.

Pros: fast service

Good place to try out bibimbap

The best place to try out bibimbap in Jeonju. The owners don’t speak English but they will understand you more or less.

3 stars since I’m not a fan of bibimbap but definetly worth a try.

Also not super expensive.

Enjoyed the Jeonju bibimbap

As is mentioned in earlier comments: you can make clear that you want the vegetarian or vegan version of the bibimbap.
I love the variaty of fresh ingredients. Really enjoyed all the flavors.

Wonderful experience

The nicest staff I’ve met in Korea so far! Not a lot of English is spoken but we all worked to communicate together and they took such good care of their patrons. The only vegan option is (modified) bibimbap but the owners understood veganism (say vegetarian and “temple” to make clear no eggs) and clarified which banchan were and were not vegan. The bibimbap was excellent!

Good place to eat bimimbap

The place was quite easy to find and the staff is friendly they dont speak English so you have to tell them you want it made vegan. You get alot of side dishes but not everything is vegan. ⚠️ caution! The bowl the bimimbap is served in is HOT. my friend and I burned our fingers haha, they warn you for it but if you don't speak Korean, mind your hands when handling the bowl.

Bibimbap - quite ok.

We visited in November 2023. They understood that I wanted a vegetarian meal and I got a Bibimbap without egg or meat. Not sure if all side dishes were vegan, but at least they were vegetarian.
The robots are fun to look at 😁

Great bibimbap

not many vegan restaurants in Jeonju so i had to take my chances. i asked if they have anything without meat and was immediately told yes. they prepared my bibimbap quickly and it was delicious, and so many side dishes ! (i am vegetarian but they still asked me if the egg was ok when taking my order)

Pros: the food, the waiters, the side dishes

Cons: not a vegan restaurant, only one option
