Spicy food, unethical treatment of staff - Edit

Read moreThis was a lesson to not panic for picking somewhere to eat when the first place we chose to eat in Blackrock was closed. I had read both of the reviews here on happy cow and discounted it as an option, but in the rush of finding an alternative place to eat, we ended up here. Sadly both of the reviews here had truth - the food was too spicy (on the vegan menu anyways, with all having at least one chilli) and the owners have been accused of unethical treatment of their staff in the national news. It is a shame as the surroundings of the decor are so beautiful. Would not return, would not recommend.

Went for dinner with my friends. It is soo pretty inside, the decoration is just gorgeous. They had a vegan and vegetarian section on the menu and quite a few options. I got pilau rice and an aubergine curry. This was really tasty!!
Read moreMy friend who didn't like spicy food found all the options she tried too spicy. There was no vegan options with less than two chillis on the menu so not the best if you prefer mild food.
Pros: Beautiful interior , Yummy curry

My partner and I tried the onion bhaji and three of the five vegan curries available - we enjoyed all of them! You can order them as sides or mains. We ordered as sides and shared - I thought the portions were a bit small but no one else in my party did so that is probably just my preference!
The vegan options and allergens are all very clearly marked and the staff are knowledgeable. They are also very accommodating - you can order the chai tea (lovely!) with oat milk for a fully vegan tea at the end of your meal if you speak with staff and request a vegan alternative 🩷
