This is just about the yummy cupcakes - Edit
Edited Sept 2025: they now seem to have a lot fewer vegan options. The vegan cupcakes were sold out every day I went (apparently they only make 9 a day), and there are apparently no more vegan pastries. So it’s a big risk going there.
Read morePreviously, they had three vegan (plus gluten-free) cupcakes: vanilla, red velvet and chocolate. The consistency is great, there is a ton of frosting, and they are very flavourful.

Cupcakes are delicious, but rarely there - Edit
They used to have 3 vegan cupcake options per day, and now they only make like 9 vegan cupcakes per day, which sell out before noon. I suggested that they make lots more because they are so popular, and they said they would share the request with the baker.
Read moreThis year, I haven’t been able to get any vegan cupcakes from them, but last year I had the red velvet and it was small but potent! It took me over an hour to finish it. I picked up their punch card to start racking up points. I used to visit this place often when I lived here many years ago so it is particularly disappointing that there are rarely vegan options now.

Avocado “toast” = slightly warm bread with ripe-ish avo slices. $$ 4/10 - Edit
Back of the house staff need to put in a little more effort. Presentation was ok, but this is primarily a non-vegan, bacon-and-eggs restaurant at breakfast time and it kinda shows. Should I have sent my not-toasted bread back for more than a cursory application of grill marks? Yes, but I was hungry. Mexican mocha was tasty but overly sweet.

Love a vegan cupcake! - Edit
I was looking for a pastry / sweet treat and CrushCakes did just the job. Tomato and Basil soup hit the spot too.

Average - Edit
This place is average, if you are looking for a good vegan burrito I recommend super cucas over this place they have vegan cheese and meats, this place has soyrizo but very average vegan options and kinda pricey. Super Cucas>Crushcaksa and Cafe

Not a lot of vegan options - Edit
Their menu is almost entirely animal based in one way or another. And although they say they can veganize things, they weren’t very helpful in helping us figure out how.
