everything was super yummy and the people were very nice, i was sitting right at the back and could peak into the kitchen😄we all enjoyed our food very much, i highly recommend!! the shahi especially

Absolutely delicious

We enjoyed having dinner here.
Everything we ate was delicious.
Black lentil curry with soy cream and cashew
Tofu Kahari - absolutely top - we asked for second plate
Vegan garlic naan and basmati rice.
Very good herbal and jasmine tea, with real herbs and jasmin petals.

Pros: Lots of vegan options as well as gluten free ops., Very kind owners, Little and cozy space

Small, but MIGHTY!

This is a gorgeous family-run cafe/restaurant! Food is fresh and the service is amazingly friendly. Had the makhni dal - it was genuinely one of the best, I’ve had, in any eatery. My partner had the palak tofu and it was spiced perfectly! Garlic naan - oh, how we’ve both missed you - was better than we remember it ever tasting!!!
Definitely worth a visit (or two). #Veganuary

great vegan indian

vegan garlic naan!!! i don't know why it's so impossible to find but it has been years since i've had garlic naan so i'm excited. i also got the shahi tofu, another dish i haven't had since i went vegan 8 years ago. it was perfect. the rice was delicious too! and very friendly owners.

Indian feast!

Yes girl, this tiny restaurant oozes nothing but love, run by a very friendly couple. Everything is freshly prepared in this even tinier kitchen. What comes out of it can only be described as magic. Yes, magic. Flavourfull awesomeness with every dish.

Highly recommended.

Ps: we only visited Portimao because of this place and it did not disappoint a bit - totally worth a detour if it's not entirely on your way.

Also: vegan lassi!

Best Indiana restaurant

Très bon restaurant qui ne paye pas de mine mais qui est délicieux, je recommande fortement pour les aateur de bouffe indienne ! Simple, savoureux et pas cher du tout !
Le tout avec un accueil chaleureux. Je recommande fortement ce restaurant.

Delicious Veggie Indian food

Small place with great food

Small family owned place with very good original Indian food. Everything can be made vegan. If you are in town and want original indian food for a very good price, this is the place to be!

Delicious, a lot of choice

A lovely family-run (indians) restaurant and nearly all the dishes can be ordered vegan! It was soso delicious and the family is so sweet, great service! It is very indian😄my favorite is the vegan mango lassi and on sundays (only) you can even order dosa! Vegan Butter naan, all kind of currys lots of choices

The first amazing vegan place in Portugal

After days of vegetarian Portugues cuisine it was time to treat ourselves to some good vegan/veggie food. I found this place on HC and we tried it with succes. Real tasty currys... If you are looking for good veggie food, don't hesitate!

Fresh, flavourful, authentic

Best Indian food I've had outside of India!
Cooked to order from fresh ingredients, Cozinha de Sonia is a very cute and landmark spot in Portimao.
I have become a regular ever since discovering it a few weeks back coming here 5 times in 2 weeks...
The masala dosas on Sundays are incredible! Very legit. But not only is the food so good they are incredibly kind and accommodating, catering to vegans and veges with no compromise on full flavour. I cant recommend it enough! They also do takeaway😄

Amazing

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food this is the place to go to. Family run restaurant with plenty vegan options to choose from and they’re all labeled on the menu. Very accommodating, you’ll get asked how spicy you like your food, we chose medium and it was quite mild.
10/10 we will be coming back!

Oh my goodness ! The food is Amazing.

Just ate here with my daughter. Both of us are vegans. I cannot begin to tell you how delicious the food was, all home cooked in front of you.
A very warm welcome by the couple who run it and first class service.
Everything was spot on.

Pros: Lots of delicious vegan options , Fabulous service , Spotlessly clean.

Cons: No cons.

Delicious vegan Indian food

Most of the dishes are vegan, homemade at moment. The staff is very nice and can guide you if you are not sure what to choose because there are too many options! The price is also super affordable😄
I will come back for sure

Amazing food and sweet owners

Really good experience! Small place with an extremely friendly atmosphere. The food is amazing (very spicy if you want in) with all the classic Indian dishes in vegan versions, and really cheap also. Try the vegan mango lassi!!! Besides the food we had great talks with the owners about veganism and they who so sweet and welcoming in general. Support places like this instead of gentrifying posh places, chains etc. 5 stars definitely!

Super delicious place that doesn't pretend

Mama, papa and son... All of them involved in serving us. She is running the show behind the stove, head of family takes orders with big big smile, the jungest one brought us the photo menu. The food was really tasty, not too spicy with reasonable portions. Many vegan options among everything that is vegetarian!!! We had lots of things and at the end we paid 20 euro. Super experience!

Home made Indian restaurant

Home made Indian restaurant with fresh products and a very cool people working there. I felt in India eating with very nice people and the food was just incredible. Probably not the most beautiful restaurant from outside but just wait to eat you will see why I think they are so good.

Food made with Love

Went on a family vacation two weeks ago, th ewe food is made to order and if made with such love that you can actually taste the difference.

Family run business and does not disappoint at all, definitely recommend and will visit every visit.
