I had the Classic „Cheddar“ Melt Burger with fries and vegan mayo and it was honestly one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had! The burger itself was absolutely delicious and I especially loved the pickles on it. The fries with vegan mayo were great as well.😍
Read moreThe staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and attentive and the whole atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Dogs are genuinely welcome here, which made the experience even better.🥰 My dog Frieda was treated so sweetly, she got some water and even a little vegan whipped cream as a treat.🐶🤍
I also took a piece of chocolate cake to go, and it was incredibly rich and chocolatey, absolutely delicious!😋
Amazing vegan food, lovely people, a relaxed atmosphere and super dog-friendly. An absolute recommendation if you’re visiting Haarlem and are in the mood for a really good vegan burger. I would definitely come back!☺️

Vegan Fast Food Walhalla - Edit
Deze vestiging van Copper Branch zit in een groot pand, waar voormalig -het eveneens vegan- Mama Gaia zat. Het personeel is vriendelijk en er wordt redelijk snel uitgeserveerd.

Ze serveren uitsluitend plantaardig. Daarnaast zag ik niets op de kaart dat niet-vegan kon zijn (zoals truffel).
De kaart is uitgebreid en duidelijk leesbaar. De gerechten worden op de menukaart goed uitgelegd. Je kan aangeven als je geen koriander wil. Koffie is standaard met plantaardige melk (je kan zelfs kiezen. Ook decaf is mogelijk. Zonder extra kosten.
Copper Branch heeft voornamelijk voedsel dat weinig bereiding in de keuken nodig heeft. Je ziet daarom vooral Impossible burgers en andere fast food op de kaart staan. De smaken zijn daardoor niet verrassend. Het is geen plek om heen te gaan voor een smaakbeleving.
SMAAK
Het gerecht Gaia Classic is een leuke knipoog naar de vorige eigenaar. Dit gerecht is groter, goedkoper en lekkerder dan dan Impossible Loaded (rendang op patat). De patatjes zijn vochtig van de rendang en het gerecht mist naast de pittige rendang tegenhangde smaken. De bijbestelde Coleslaw salade maakte het wat beter.
De soft serve (van Oatly) is er ook in een Sunday variant, met optionele extra crunch (afhankelijk van je bestelling). Dat is gewoonweg erg lekker. De hoeveelheid softijs dat je krijgt (in een wegwerpbeker) is bescheiden.
WAT KAN BETER
De huidige stoelen zaten mij niet heel lekker. Comfortabelere stoelen zouden fijn zijn.
De ruimte is vrij groot, en het ontbreekt een beetje aan sfeer. Onder de vorige eigenaar was het in mijn beleving sfeervolle. Misschien ligt het aan de verlichting of de aankleding. Een muziekje op de achtergrond zou al helpen.
Copper Branch is voornamelijk gericht op fast food. Daardoor zijn de smaken niet erg verrassend. Daar is zeker verbeterruimte in.
De soft serve serveren in een glas zou mooier ogen. Kennelijk is de afspraak met Oatly dat het geserveerd wordt in een wegwerpbeker waar de naam van Oatly op staat. Begrijpelijk, maar ook een beetje jammer.
We waren verrast dat er wel een iced chai latte op de kaart staat, maar geen (warme) chai latte.

Mom and I shared the rendang fries and the blt sandwich. Absolutely loved the rendang fries. Blt was okay. Also tried two drinks: the homemade ice tea was a bit boring but the iced matcha strawberry was very good.

Copper Branch is a fantastic place to eat and do - Edit
My husband and I have been vegan since 1991 and 1990 respectively. We are thrilled when we find fabulous vegan restaurants and are so happy we found the Copper Branch. It is a completely plant-based restaurant and the menu is so extensive, it is hard to choose. The food is wonderful. They have onion rings, which if you are vegan you know this is such a treat since it is actually hard to find them in vegan restaurants and you can imagine how happy we were. In addition they have soft serve Oatley ice cream, another wonderful treat for vegans. Their cheesecake is also scrumptious. I have had a number of their burgers, which were great, but I have to say that my all-time favorite is the Gaia’s Classic wrap—so delicious. The service is great, welcoming and friendly. We also love the fact that if you eat the “Blue Burger” a donation of one Euro goes to a farm sanctuary, “ Landgoed de Peerdegaerdt.” The fact that they do this makes the restaurant even more special for us. We have not done work there, but the space is conducive to doing work and the space invites it. The aesthetic is overly, large and light with big shade trees and many light large shade trees and sizable windows. There is varied seating configurations, which work well for collaborative endeavours. There is indoor and outdoor seating, both choices are fantastic. And something I have never mentioned in any review, but must in this, the restroom is lovely. I came back from a visit telling my spouse he needed to go to see how nice the restroom and sink is. We will return again and again, making special trips to Haarlam to go there. The Copper Branch is not to be missed. There are also Copper Branches in other locations, such as Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Alsmere.

Read moreThe food was amazing, we tried three different burgers (blue cheese, truffle, and jelapeno) and all of them were really good. Was so cool to see they also serve soft serve (which is quite rare!) in four different flavours. We tried the caramel one and it was amazing.
As we were celebrating a friend's birthday, the staff wrote down Happy birthday on a dessert plate, which was super cute.
Overall, super happy with our experience and would definitely love to come back again 💚

Big restaurant, very clean and modern. I've been to a French Copper Branch once which was a bit of a dump, but this one was lovely. You have to know it's there though, it's a bit hidden and you won't randomly stumble upon it.

We absolutely loved it here! 1: The restaurant‘s interior is modern and cozy. 2: Our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive and just overall made our day with his happy and joyful attitude. 3: The drinks were huge and the food was fresh and delicious! We had two giant iced drinks, a burger and a sandwich, a cookie and ice cream for under 50€! We would definitely go here again!

I ordered a wrap with shoarma and some fries with mayonaise. The wrap was just ok. I assume there was no cooking involved, just the basic heating up of supermarket quality plant based shoarma, thrown together with some veggies, lettuce, pickle and garlic sauce and it's a wrap (pun intended).

For a dish this pricey I expect way more. But more so, for a vegan restaurant, this was really disappointing. This wrap was something you would expect at a regular restaurant which reluctantly serves a vegan dish. And therefore, this restaurant comes across as non-genuin. If you really want to serve proper vegan food, please cook some decent meals (soup, risotto, curries, lasagna... everything really).

Liked the burgers and the fries were good. Service was ok. It was a very quiet evening and the waiter was at our table as soon as we had our last bite, taking away plates immediately, although we were still working on the fries (didn’t take the fries 😅). But it felt like a bit much.

Read moreThere were so many amazing food and drink options! We had the döner wrap, pesto focaccia and apple pie. The focaccia was very salty, but all the flavours were nice.
The location is a bit remote from the city center (15-20 minutes walk from most of the shops) but the interior of the restaurant is quite cosy.
