Wide selection. Everything organic. Much different stuff ~ some even new for me. Unfortunately a bit expensive, but it is for the good cause to treat the planet better than the Conventional products do it ... so.

Große Auswahl. Alles Bio. Viel unterschiedliches und sogar für mich neues dabei. Leider etwas teuer, aber es ist ja für die gute Sache den Planeten besser zu behandeln als die Konventionellen Produkte es tun ... also.
Das Café ist gerade in den Ferien und somit geschlossen ~ schade.

Not all vegan or vegetarian food, but everything is organic. The food is delicious and it is a delightful place to sit, in the peaceful courtyard of an old renovated convent.

Went to Convent'Bio (Lagao) or lunch last week. I am sorry to say it was a big disappointment :-(

The menu is very small (and no prices for some reason) and we were nearly caught out by ordering the mushrooms on toast which turned out to have egg as well. Very misleading. It was lucky that the waiter heard me say "at least there is a vegan dessert". The chef substituted egg with tofu at our suggestion and I am happy to say that it was really tasty but overall I am just sad that it's somewhere I won't go back to.
I did give my feedback to the waiter and he accepted it very graciously and said that most things can be veganised, but I don't want to go out to eat and have to construct a dish myself or have ingredients taken out - I want to go out to eat and be inspired by the creativity of the chef!
I think it is under new management so I guess the point of my post is to say that if you enjoyed eating there in the past maybe you could also give them some feedback and hopefully they will realise that vegans could be an important market for them.

Bioladen mit kleinem Restaurant - Edit
Seit den 70ern stand das ehemalige Kloster leer, nun wurde die Ruine sehr liebevoll saniert und zu einem Bioladen mit kleinem Restaurant umfunktioniert. Auf dem zugehörigen Stück Land wird auch selbst Gemüse angebaut.
Read moreIm Laden findet man umweltfreundliche Kosmetik- und Hygieneartikel, eine kleine Unverpackt-Abteilung sowie verschiedene vegane und vegetarische Snacks und Lebensmittel. Viel ist aus Deutschland importiert, was ich aber selbst gar nicht kenne aus Deutschland.
Die Obst und Gemüseabteilung ist klein, aber dafür finden sich nur regionale Produkte oder sogar aus eigenem Anbau. Es wird neben Fleischersatz auch Biofleisch verkauft.
Im Restaurant/Café gibt es wechselnde vegane Kuchen, Bio-Frühstücksangebote und kleine Mahlzeiten mit veganen und vegetarischen Optionen. Das Angebot soll bald weiter ausgebaut werden.
Pros: Hübsche Location, Manche Profukte günstiger als in den Supermärkten
